A hard lesson that most people have to learn early in life is understanding that you are NOT the main character in everyone’s story. I know, that’s tough to hear. Want to know a secret though? When you live your life going out of your way to make everyone else the hero in THEIR story, something magical happens. You build deeper connections, people are drawn to your kindness, and in turn, you find yourself surrounded by more support and love than you ever expected. When you help others shine, your own light grows brighter. How can you go out of your way to make someone else look like a hero today? Create a video testimonial about their character or service and randomly send it to them. Or, publicly praise their work on social media and give them the recognition they deserve. Even a simple handwritten note expressing how they've impacted your life can make them feel like a hero. Go take action. Watch how it makes THEM feel. Then, watch how it makes YOU feel.

Someone said to me recently, 'Danny, you seem like the happiest guy around! Why is that?' Below is my answer expanded 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨... 1. Pay it forward where you can to individuals who have great character 2. Understand that nice and kind have different definitions; nice can be forced or faked, kindness is ingrained 3. Surround yourself with kind humans who have solid character 4. Set your expectation that just because you pay it forward, it may not come back to you from that person in particular 5. The gift to yourself is the give to others. When you help others you increase your own happiness. 6. Focus on the journey, not the destination 7. Remove toxic people from your life - if not possible, limit your time with them 8. Laugh five times per day; I laugh at myself a few times at some errors I have made; My wife and daughters laugh at me and with me to make up the other few times 9. Find something to be grateful for - in my case a stranger rescued my grandfather from the Holocaust, brought him to Chicago and introduced him to my grandmother 10. Understanding that possessions fill your home, but kindness, empathy and compassion fill your heart 11. Knowing your actions and efforts that positively impact others will be contagious; that contagion will spread 12. Having a wife and daughters that I love and respect Anything my network feels I am missing?

Growing up together & knowing each other 30 years Don’t make you friends. Even being family don’t make you friends It's the level of LOYALTY, CONSISTENCY, VALUES, DEPENDABILITY & SUPPORT that makes you FRIENDS. Alot of people hang out on a regular basis but can't count on each other when you need them the MOST. So understand it’s nothing personal sometimes you outgrow your old interests & people. Dont let history dictate your growing process, you are not acting funny YOU HAVE ELEVATED to the reality & perspective of what a friend is💯‼️
