Has this thing ever happen to you? So I recently applied for Technical Support role which was remote role at Spectrio and after few days the recruiter reached out to me about next step in the process which was to answer some technical questions and other general questions. Like I had already scheduled an interview with the recruiter this Monday but unfortunately she canceled an interview before that date. If you already had the candidate (internally) in mind or selected then why did Spectrio took me to next step and made me answer technical question and then decided not to move forward. This is so frustrating and not valid at this point. If you do not want to move forward with candidate then why are you wasting the company's and candidate's time to follow up with next step. If you really really want to follow up with next step in hiring process with candidates then please also make sure to interview candidate and do not just send an email to follow up and make candidate answer technical question and decide not to move forward with them.

Akhil Somaiya Answering technical question to Recruiter Sounds epic to me. The hiring process in IT Industry is like they just want a reason to disqualify candidates. I have seen excellent candidates with good coding skills, great programming language knowledge but if their lacking with their English or they just fail the aptitude test they are not selected. This is not with small organisations but with big MNC too. I really don't understand 6 to 10 rounds of Interviews to Judge Candidates. This seems me like our education system that has not been changed or updated from very long time and the best part is you can't do anything.

I'm sorry that this happen. It really is frustrating! But remember that if they are so disorganized (and that is what this likely is) that one person is moving to the next step while another person has eliminated you, then this isn't the place you want to work. They are just as disorganized in their day to day operations in that group. I had this happen once and I was confused and upset but if I know anything, there IS another company out there and there IS someone who will see all your great qualities and how they match and appreciate you. Hang in there!

Hi Akhil - We appreciate your interest in working with us here at Spectrio. We always strive to provide a great candidate experience, but we understand your frustration and appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue to improve our processes. Again, we apologize that you did not have the chance to interview for this role and we would be happy to consider you for future opportunities. You are welcome to reach out directly if you have any other questions. Thank you.
