What is Existential Intelligence? How it is related to AI?
Existential intelligence /EI was first introduced by Howard Gardner, who coined the theory of Multiple Intelligences: Logical/Mathematical, Musical, Spatial, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Naturalist, Interpersonal, and Intrapersonal. All is topped by Existential/Spiritual intelligence, an ability to delve into deeper questions about life and existence.
Existential intelligence is the intelligence of big picture thinking. People with existential intelligence tend to be critical thinkers who are unafraid to challenge the norm. It’s the capacity to pose and reflect on the big questions of life: who are we, where do we come from, where are we headed, what is our place in the universe, why do we exist at all, what, indeed, is existence?
Existential thinkers typically have the ability to keep the big picture in mind. They tend to be driven by purpose and contributions larger than their immediate surroundings.
The biggest characteristic of kids with high existential intelligence comes from their ability to see the big picture. These kids have a great understanding of seeing the world as a whole. So they go beyond the physical senses to explain themselves and understand the world around them.
In Science and Technology, AI and Machine Learning, EI organizes the world's data/information/knowledge in the form of explanations and predictions about the world.
EI/AI is driven by the World Modeling and Reality Simulation Engine, simulating all realities, and programmed as the Hypergraph Causal World Network structuring the world's data/information/knowledge, including scientific knowledge, its facts, laws and theories, as well as NL data, web data, data sets and databases, dictionaries, taxonomies, ontologies, AI models, LLMs, knowledge graphs, etc.
EI/AI [the World Modeling and Reality Simulation Engine] = The World Hypergraph: Global Causal Graph Network: Reality > Causality > Science > AI > ML > ANNs > DL > Causal AI >Meta-AI = Trans-AI = Real AI.
EI/AI is transdisciplinary, transformative and translational, transcendental and techno-scientific (5TAI).
ET/AI AI refers to the simulation or approximation of human intelligence in machines to create human-like AGI machines performing any intellectual task that a human being can--and more with an existential risk to wreak havoc on the human world.
