Velocity’s Guildford Office are celebrating once again following news of a successful planning consent for a multi-use venue for outdoor private events at @The Fallow Meadow Fields in West Sussex. The development proposal comprised the erection of a tipis and other supporting infrastructure to accommodate various summer events including weddings, funerals, and company team building for 5 months (May to September) of each year. We prepared a detailed Transport Statement on behalf of @The Fallow Meadow to robustly demonstrate that despite the site’s rural location. The results of an Automatic Traffic Counter (ATC) survey were used to assess and develop a geometric design of the site’s access and provide an appropriate level of inter-visibility with other motorised and non-motorised users. An assessment was undertaken to derive a daily profile of vehicular movements and determine that the proposed development is appropriate in its rural context. #development #planning #sussex #transportplanning #infrastructure #engineering

To operate a small unmanned aircraft (sUAS), often referred to as a drone, we need to understand the airspace we're operating in, be certified to do so, and get permission in certain circumstances. 107.41: "No person may operate a small unmanned aircraft in Class B, Class C, or Class D airspace or within the lateral boundaries of the surface area of Class E airspace designated for an airport unless that person has prior authorization from Air Traffic Control (ATC)."
