What makes you feel beautiful? ⁠ ⁠ Sometimes, our clutter reflects our quest for beauty—like piles of lipsticks and face masks that promise a youthful glow. But true beauty isn't about stuff. ⁠ ⁠ For me, it's been a journey of rediscovery. I used to think I could find beauty in the latest lipstick shade or trendy skincare routine. But during the pandemic, my priorities shifted. My bathroom was overflowing with promises of youth and beauty—lipsticks, face masks, nail polish. Yet, even with all this stuff, I felt like something was missing. ⁠ ⁠ I realized I was chasing a fleeting high—a new product would make me feel good for a moment, but soon enough, I was back to feeling "normal" and searching for the next fix. ⁠ ⁠ Beauty is about more than products collecting on your bathroom counter—it's finding joy in simplicity and embracing what makes you feel alive. ⁠ ⁠ Organizing can be a wake-up call and a gateway to your happiest, most thriving self. Having to face my overflowing bathroom counters allowed me to re-think where I source my joy from. ⁠ ⁠ I hoped the beauty products would be the answer, but they couldn't fill the void I was feeling inside. It wasn't about the products; it was about finding joy in simplicity and reconnecting with what truly makes me happy. ⁠ ⁠ Nature became my sanctuary. When it comes to the heart of happiness, if you’re solely relying on thought content as your primary source of it, you’re missing out on a deeper joy that’s available to you. When you look beyond your conceptual mind, you access a happiness that’s beyond description that is the essence of who you are in your heart of hearts, a deeper sense of identity which is recognised in the pure awareness of Love’s presence. Now, by Love, I’m not referring to the actions associated with that word, such as going on dates, buying flowers and chocolates, engaging in what you ‘love to do’ or even contributing to a mission greater than yourself, though those are all actions that can naturally arise from the loving space within you when you are in harmony with your true nature, which also dovetails with you having a clear mind. When you feel the Love at the core of your being, not only do you the experience the pure unconditional child-like happiness beneath your thought system (regardless of any outer-world circumstance), you’re calmer, you naturally think clearer and with more fluidity, and are better and more creative at everything you do, and you enjoy your experience more fully.
