Hello everyone ✨ Practiced Dynamic charts on Excel by comparing AQI and Health index State-wise for India. Analysis : North Indian states particularly Delhi, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh experience bad air quality while Air quality is better shown in South Indian states as of Today. Dr. Bulbul Sood, Senior Advisor (RMNCHA) and former Country Director at Jhpiego, CEDPA, and Professor of Community Medicine at Lady Hardinge Medical College, highlighted key trends in CSR spending during the "Beyond Profits: CSR in India (Healthcare Edition)" event. She noted that CSR expenditure grew significantly from ₹17,000 crores in 2017-18 to ₹26,000 crores in 2021-22, with almost 40% directed toward health, water, and sanitation. She emphasized that Public Sector Units (PSUs) are increasingly investing in the health sector, which is promising. However, Dr. Sood raised concerns about the unequal distribution of CSR funds, with Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka receiving the bulk of the investment. She stressed the need for more CSR resources in underserved states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand. Dr. Sood also praised the focus on promotive activities in healthcare, particularly in areas like education, nutrition, and health services utilization. She urged for an increased emphasis on primary healthcare and health promotion, highlighting the importance of utilizing CSR funds strategically to address these areas. #CSR #Healthcare #Sustainability #HealthEquity #PrimaryHealthcare #PublicHealth #PromotiveCare #Nutrition #RuralDevelopment #CSRImpact #India #BeyondProfits Paresh Kumar Minal Srivastava Deepak Bhatt Itishree Nayak Krish Jain Sanya Lamba

📉 India's State-Wise Health Index. While Kerala tops the list with a strong score of 74.65, Uttar Pradesh(29.16), Bihar (32.43), and Odisha (36.35) have alarming scores that indicate severe deficiencies in healthcare infrastructure and accessibility. With Uttar Pradesh lagging behind by over 45 points compared to Kerala, the inequality is staggering. ⚠️ States like Madhya Pradesh(38.69) & Rajasthan (43.23) also reflect significant shortcomings in delivering quality healthcare to their populations, highlighting the urgent need for intervention. 🔢 >50% of states score below **50** on the Health Index, which signals an overall national healthcare crisis in many regions. These numbers reveal the harsh reality that millions across India still face barriers to essential health services, a situation that worsens in rural areas. This is not just a gap— it's a healthcare divide that requires immediate action. Without focused policies and investments, the mission of achieving **Universal Health Coverage (UHC)** will remain out of reach for millions. It’s time to acknowledge these numbers and work aggressively to narrow the gap before it widens further. 🕴What do you think is the gap in your respective state?
