Glad to have the The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. a part of this new consortium that will enable brands to track key ingredients back to the source. This is becoming even more important to any company that uses agricultural or mineral raw materials. The insights from this work are critical to reduce risk of deforestation and social issues like forced or child labor. This is a good idea not only because of developing regulation in Europe but also to protect your company from being part of these negative issues. Great work Mindi DeLeary and Meghan Ryan! #beautyinspiredvaluesdriven #traceability #supplychain #supplychainsustainability
This provides such a great example, not just for beauty but for any CPG brands utilizing these critical commodities. With the complexity of supply chains for most raw materials, industry collaboration is an absolute necessity.
It's good to see so many of the main players collaborating on this. While there is of course brand protection involved, it will hopefully go some way to actually reducing the various environmental and social issues highlighted.
That is wonderful.
Important engagement from an iconic leader Al Iannuzzi
