Big updates in the e-commerce world this week. Every brand needs to know about ⏩ 🛍️ Shopify announced 100s (!!) of updates coming this year. - In-house subscription support for merchants - Major improvements to the handling of product variants (color & size) - Revamped checkout flow to minimize the number of clicks to purchase (huge - from 3 to 1!) - New discount types to allow brands more creative options to convert traffic 📱 TikTok is experimenting with a feature that automatically makes any product in any piece of content, shoppable. Very Pinterest-esque in my opinion. 🤳 TikTok (again) is incentivizing creators to post content in landscape mode. Is this part of a bigger plan (like pushing for longer-form content) to increasingly compete with YouTube amongst younger demographics? 🔥 Signs that the US consumer is still very strong... Amazon is back to strong growth with a knock-out holiday Q4, Meta posts highly impressive ad revenue, etc., Google continues to push game-changing features to its advertising suite - especially with generative AI. -------- 2024 is already showing huge updates to the way people discover and shop products 👀 #shopifywinterupdate2024 #d2cbrands #influencermarketing #affiliatemarketing

Another for your list -- Google and Yahoo introduced new requirements this month to reduce spam and protect recipients from malicious messages. It's time to place those DMARC records in your DNS records if you haven't already!
