Today, as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his dream of equity and inclusion, we stand on the threshold of a new era: the Intelligence Age. This is a time where technology and innovation are reshaping the way we live, work, and connect. But with all progress comes responsibility. We cannot afford to leave anyone behind. Not our seniors, not our low-income communities, not anyone who may feel disconnected or overwhelmed by these rapid advancements. Dr. King’s vision reminds us that progress is only meaningful when it includes everyone. Some of us are in powerful rooms or just have an appetitive to learn and ‘pick up’ stuff everyday. Whether it’s a new tool, a skill, or insight, we all have platforms—big or small—to empower others. The Intelligence Age thrives on knowledge, and knowledge grows when it’s shared. The Challenge: •Learn something new in your area(s) of expertise everyday. Everyone is a SME in something. Stay in your God given lane. •Share it. Vet it first and add what you know for sure to it. The copy and paste days must end. •Use your platform to uplift, educate, and connect. Social media is clearly a priority and not going anywhere, so we might as well use it wisely. Dr. King said, “Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” In this new era, we have the tools to uplift everyone, and it’s our duty to ensure no one is left behind. Let’s build a future together that honors inclusion, equality, and progress for all. #MLKDay #IntelligenceAge #ShareKnowledge

Ideas for Service: •Donate to organizations providing shelter, food, and assistance to those in need. •Volunteer your time with a local charity or community group. •Reach out to someone in your life who may be struggling. Generosity from the Heart "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap." - Luke 6:38 As professionals and individuals, we're often blessed with resources to make a difference. But true generosity starts from the heart, not just the wallet. "Remember, the Lord your God is the one who gives you power to prosper." - Deuteronomy 8:18 Let's cultivate a spirit of generosity, not for recognition or reward, but because it honors God. "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." - Proverbs 11:25 If you're led to support a noble cause, consider our Charity organization, empowering communities through self-sustainability projects. Coming Together as a Community: A Story of Generosity and Impact In every community, there are stories that remind us of the incredible power of kindness and collaboration. One such story comes from our teammate Brian Salisbury supporting Ralph “The Shoe Guy,” who work hard together with many others in our community to collect and donate shoes each year for the Syracuse Rescue Mission. This year they collected 43,120 pairs of shoes. This achievement is more than just a number—it’s a testament to what can happen when individuals step up to address critical needs. The Syracuse Rescue Mission serves as a lifeline for many, providing support to individuals and families facing tough times. Shoes, something many of us take for granted, can make a world of difference, especially during harsh winters. Through the hard work and dedication of Brian and Ralph, thousands of people now have access to this essential resource. This story is a powerful reminder that each of us has the ability to make an impact. Whether through donating, volunteering, or organizing efforts in our own neighborhoods, we can all play a role in creating positive change. It doesn’t take monumental resources—it takes heart, purpose, and a willingness to come together as a community. Let’s be inspired by Brian and Ralph’s example and think about how we can contribute to the well-being of those around us. Small actions, when multiplied by many, can lead to extraordinary results. Thank you to everyone who played a part in this incredible effort. Your generosity and teamwork show what’s possible when we lead with compassion. #CommunityImpact #GivingBack #SyracuseRescueMission #110metalworks #KindnessInAction

It is said that what we do in life echoes in eternity. This is why philanthropy is not only a moral obligation, but it is also a way to leave a lasting impact. I was reminded of this recently when I remembered an incident that took place during my S.5 holiday. I had attended a conference, and as we were giving, I had nothing to give but a new pair of sandals. I knew that the people collecting the items would never put them on, but I was confident that they would be given to someone who needed them. As I got out of one taxi to get into another at the taxi park, I met a classmate who was a good friend of mine. All he noticed that day was that I was barefoot, and he asked, 'Where are your shoes?' I smiled and replied that I had given them out. He shook his head and waved, 'See you at school.' Giving and philanthropy are part of me. Whether I'm curating a gift or fundraising money for a cause, I give it my all. Growing up with a mother who would share all we had with anyone who had none made it easy for me to always share what I have with whoever is around me and lacks. To me, no one has to preach a compelling sermon for me to give, especially when there is an ongoing project. It is easy for our past to catch up with us, but when we do good in life, it echoes in eternity. What are some ways that you give back to your community? Share in the comments below. #Philanthropy #GivingBack #CommunityImpact"
