“Man, the man is non-stop!” Lin-Manuel Miranda Who is a leader that inspires you and what have you learned from them? I’ll confess that I have a go-to answer. I’ll offer Shannon Byrne Susko when asked and share two abbreviated lessons from early in my career: 1. Take responsibility. 2. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Lately, I’m asking “what am I learning about myself?” And “who inspires me today?” AMIR NEZHAT comes to mind. Watching Amir in action is a masterclass in building connections, community, and creating shared value. Amir has a talent for bringing people with common purpose together for meaningful collaboration. His energy is contagious, and, like Lin-Manuel’s Hamilton, he is non-stop! What am I learning? Amir reminds me that relationships should be regenerative and that community matters. My crew is the glass half full team. I have a talent for seeing the potential in others, and a firm belief in strengths-based development. I’m learning that cultivating talent is just the starting point. The exponential impact is in the connections. Community matters.
Wow!! Alaine Brawley I am truly humbled by this post. Love your take aways. When we worked together we had a lot to “own” and take responsibility for and everyday was ever changing and we had to get comfortable with that!! Love what you learned from AMIR NEZHAT and I could not agree more - “so important that relationships should be regenerative and that community matters.” Thank you for thinking of me.
Amir is a true professional and in the short time we have been working together, he has been amazing. Thank you Amir.
