Here are some indicators that someone contacting you might be a scammer: 👉 Requests for personal financial details. 👉Requests for payment to be considered for a job. 👉 Offers that guarantee employment or income. 👉 Poor spelling or grammar in communications. 👉 A lack of verifiable information or activity on the person’s profile. 👉 No image or a suspicious profile image on social media such as LinkedIn. Scammers are also using platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook or Telegram to impersonate recruitment consultants. If you receive suspicious messages, block and report the contact through the platform’s reporting options.
