Firstly, this type of content is not only impressive, but loooooooong overdue, since at least 2016. Let me first congratulate others on that. However, given that Apple is only making 60K-100K, max., of AVPv1, it seems like a wildly extraordinary expense for such a small audience, even IF ALL AVP users watched the #content, which I doubt they will. That means the rest of us subscribers are footing the bill for content they can *never access.* WTH?! That alone makes me want to cancel AppleTV+, which I will, now. They couldn’t add iPhone or iPad support like #Disney? It’s still sub-optimal, but at least all subscribers could play with some version of it, rather than only the 0.01% buying the device. I’m sure there will be a lot of posts about it, but #FOMO means *nothing* to a majority of Americans who can barely afford $500 for any surprise expense, let alone a $4K+ device after insurance, cellular service, comfort strap (of course that’s always “extra” instead of “comfort” being the baseline), etc. ::cough:: Looking at you too, #Meta! #KiwiDesign should show you *both* how to do it right.::sigh:: Even the AVP “Lite” version, later at $2K, will likely provide a sub-optimal version in comparison. At least 2-3 product cycles from now (~4 years+), as costs come down, provided they continue making AVP, will the content be usable, relevant, or interesting to wider audiences? Will it even be available? Will others continue subsidizing such expensive content, after Apple doubled the price for AppleTV+? I for one, will not, it’s now an easy choice to make.
