This paper develops a new algorithm that combines the #exponential-#weight algorithm for #exploration and #exploitation (#EXP3) and the #Lyapunov #optimization to jointly and proactively decide when to #trigger #migration and where to migrate the service before the handover. What started as a classroom project exactly two years ago with 8 people and 25 replication findings is now part of the wonderful #FORRT initiative, has 147 contributors, and a little over 2K findings. Seeing so many people value replication research and open science has made me very optimistic about the future of science. Thank you everybody! The buzzwords #AI and #ML are most commonly applied to technology trained on LLMs, but they have applications to many other types of data. Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) is exploring and collaborating with researchers like Arpit Gupta on the concept of "self-driving networks," AI-enabled cybersecurity stacks and software-defined networks (SDN) that will make it easier and cheaper to deploy and operate highly available, reliable, performant, and secure last-mile and enterprise networks.
