It was an absolute pleasure hosting National Director of Job Corps John Hall’s visit at Albuquerque Job Corps during Native American Heritage Month and Apprenticeship Week. I got the opportunity to join National Director of Job Corps John Hall, New Mexico State Senator-Elect Cindy Nava, HUD Regional Administrator Candace Valenzuela, Assistant Deputy Secretary Peter Hunt, and others to speak at HUD’s grand opening for their newest C.A.R.E. Call Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Several of my students who were recently hired on with HUD were also in attendance. Additional students from Albuquerque Job Corps will soon begin their careers as federal employees with HUD. A very special thank you to Assistant Deputy Secretary Peter Hunt, Acting Chief of Staff Ashley Mendoza, National Director Christopher Taylor, Chief of Staff Peter Jackson, Field Director Lawerence Reyes, and all of the great people at HUD for partnering with Job Corps.
