New users were LOST during our old onboarding. 😅 Now, we optimized our process with 6 major changes. A few weeks ago we had an issue. We built so many new features that new users were lost when they first opened Scripe. 𝗪𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀: 👉 Mixpanel & PostHog for data-driven decisions 👉 User interviews with selected users And let me tell you: .... it hurts a lot to see people that don't understand what you have built! So we optimized our process with 6 steps: 1. Onboarding video 📹 ↳ A simple, engaging video that walks users through the basics 2. Tooltips and help articles 📑 ↳ More in-app hints and detailed articles to guide users 3. Sidebar with quicklinks 🔗 ↳ Easy access to relevant help articles right from the sidebar. 4. Streamlined process 🏃♂️ ↳ Reduced the number of steps required to get started. 5. Guardrails 🚧 ↳ Added more prompts to guide users through key actions. 6. Explainer videos 🎥 ↳ Videos for each feature page on first view to ensure clarity. Fast forward a few weeks, and the results are in: - Increased content creation by new users by over 45% - Reduced churn rates by over 30% We're still in pre-launch with invite-only access. But we're excited about it because these are the improvements that we want to have nailed down before our official launch (soon). It's hard to believe now that it has been 5 years since I embarked on this incredible adventure at Mindtickle! Back then, we were an unheard startup fueled by a Series B round. Today, we're a thriving unicorn with over 600 talented minds on board. Talk about a growth curve! My journey at Mindtickle has been a masterclass in versatility and learning. I started as an Implementation Manager, ensuring every customer maximized the Mindtickle platform's potential. I then had the opportunity to build a revenue-generating tech services team from the ground up. This role demanded wearing many hats and navigating intricate systems – all to empower our amazing sales team (because, let's be honest, selling is hard!). However, my passion for product innovation led me to transition into Product Management. This shift has opened doors to a wealth of knowledge across the B2B SaaS and enablement landscape. Throughout this incredible ride, I've been fortunate to learn from and collaborate with a team of exceptional individuals. These colleagues have become not just mentors, but also lifelong friends. The speakers were beyond inspiring, and their words left a lasting impression on how I perceive growth, innovation, and perseverance in the tech industry. 🚀 Dennis Crowley - Founder of Foursquare shared how passion and emotion are the fuel for consistency in our work. His advice to care deeply about what you do resonated with me, as it’s this genuine connection that drives us to stay dedicated even during the most challenging times. 🔥Tariq Ahmed - First Engineer AppLovin gave a remarkable piece of advice that truly struck a chord: "Chaos is a ladder." Being able to adapt in uncertain situations and turning those moments into opportunities is what defines success. It’s about persevering even when the path ahead seems unclear. 💡 Julian Alvarez 🚀 - Ex-Meta and CEO of Wisdolia reminded us that "The only real failure is the failure to learn." Mistakes are not setbacks, but stepping stones toward growth. His perspective on learning from failures, just like Edison’s famous quote about finding ways that don’t work, inspires a mindset of continuous improvement. 🔍 Hamza Ali - CEO of Olostep emphasized the importance of taking initiative. His encouragement to be proactive, voice your opinions, and seize opportunities that others might overlook is something I plan to carry forward in my journey. 🌐💪This week has undoubtedly sharpened my technical skills, especially through the Headstarter mock interviews. My second mock interview with Aidan Ouckama's AI was a significant improvement from the first, and it’s all thanks to the incredible support and learning environment provided by Headstarter . I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of this experience and to have learned from such inspiring leaders. I look forward to applying these lessons as I continue to grow in the field of software engineering. Our initial week of being active on social media has been a rollercoaster of highs and numerous tweaks. We've been juggling the nuances of content creation, grappling with Facebook's tool integration, and establishing a system for managing it all. Amidst this, our focus has been split between social media engagement and the ongoing development of our app's UI/UX, not to mention revisiting our marketing strategies. The beauty of handling every aspect of this journey is the breadth of skills we're acquiring. The challenge, however, lies in mastering them all. Martien and I make a great team, complementing each other's strengths. Martien's expertise lies in the technical and web3 domain, while my love and focus is marketing. We both really feel the problem we're addressing: the overwhelming flow of online information. Do not get us wrong, we love all the information available, but it is useless without a simple tool to manage it daily. So, this week has been a positive stride for SpaghettiHead.ai. Our small but mighty two-woman team has made significant progress. A highlight of this journey happened just yesterday, on Martien's birthday. We received a heartening nod from one of our most admired figures in the tech world, Whitney Wolf Herd, the founder of Bumble. Discovering that she noticed our post about her was such a surprise that we nearly jumped our pajamas. Whitney, a trailblazer as the youngest CEO to take a company public, a fearless opinion sharer, a technology utilizer for good, and an icon in tech, noticing us? That's a clear sign we're on the right track. We are curious what this week will bring but are now enjoying our little " Woohoo!
