Get to a Sustainabuild Scotland event! It's a monthly breakfast club for built environment and construction professionals in Scotland working towards Net Zero. This was meet-up number 2. Keynote presentations came from: -Lucy Black of Kenoteq -Mike Stevenson of Nordan -Sam Baumber of IndiNature Some of the topics covered: -Whole Life Cost -Recycled Materials -Sequestered Carbon -Industrial Hemp Production -Yorkshire Hemp is the best! -Embodied carbon & operational carbon -The value of EPD and Life Cycle Analysis Jason Lister would agree with that last point! We also learned how products and services can help reduce embodied carbon per square metre. It gave us a lot to think about! Carbon reduction and energy saving are at the core of ATS and EnergyScreed. We now offer Dynamic Project EPDs to give main contractors, architects, and engineers embodied carbon to a m²! See you at the next one? #sustainability #netzero

Some exceptional work going on here at AtkinsRéalis with regards to Carbon Insights and how it will play a pivotal role for various stakeholders in the very near future. Watch this space! #carbon #carboninsights
I've spent the last year working with an inspirational team across AtkinsRéalis to develop "Carbon Insights" - a digital platform designed to embed carbon management in all of our projects. In its simplest form, it provides guidance and a structure to begin carbon conversations with clients. For those already on the journey, there are tools and methods to support implementation, share knowledge and drive carbon reduction. I'm really excited to be part of the platform's development as it continues through 2024 - working with technical experts across our global regions to support best practice and deliver change across the business. #CarbonInsights #Engineeringabetterfuture #EngineeringNetZero

Founder of ADL Ventures and Fraunhofer at MIT | Creating HardTech Ventures at the Corporate Start-up Interface | Expert in Industrialized Construction & ClimateTech | Senior R&D Leader, Board Member & Serial Entrepreneur
If you're committed to scaling up energy efficiency or decarbonizing the built environment, it's crucial to understand the transformative potential of industrialized construction. Twenty years ago, I began my career in renewable energy as a manufacturer and research leader. By the end of the first decade, it became clear to me that the core challenge was adoption. This realization shifted my focus toward industrialized construction. While inventing ClimateTech solutions and securing VC investments are important, without a clear pathway to market, these innovations can't achieve widespread adoption and thus fail to make a significant impact. Industrialized Construction offers that essential pathway. It bridges the gap between innovative technologies and practical implementation, ensuring that advancements in energy efficiency and decarbonization are realized on a large scale. How do you see industrialized construction shaping the future of energy efficiency and decarbonization? 🤔 #IndustrializedConstruction #SustainableBuilding #ClimateTech Ken Semler Gary Fleisher Audree Grubesic Doug Tollin, Steve Burrows Daniel Small, Jennifer Castenson Ben Hershey Jordie Puchinger Andrew Seelye Rob Howard Gary Eagleton Ed Dunn Matthew Comber, John Lefkus III Bob Bender Dan Wies Charles Leahy Tom Hardiman, Jason Blenker Steve Dubin Merrick Macomber Vamsi Kumar Kotla Anthony Gude, Tom Stacy Jaren Grady Paul Richards Diego Rivera John Fay Mark Hurst Eric Scott Greg Otto Charlie Sights Matt McMullen Matthew Bowe Michael Couture
