Technical Sales and Customer Success Manager | Leveraging Algorithms to Increase Heatpump Efficiency

Palantir Technologies has been awarded a research and experimentation contract by the U.S. Army, valued at up to $250 million. The Department of Defense disclosed the agreement on the 26th of September. The specifics of work locations and funding allocations will be determined on a per-order basis. The surge in interest surrounding artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) within the defence sector has increase massively, with militaries and contractors recognising their potential applications on the battlefield. As of 2021, the Defense Department was overseeing more than 685 AI-related projects, with a significant portion falling under the Army's purview—totaling at least 232 projects. Palantir's involvement in AI initiatives with the U.S. Army dates back to 2016 when the company won a legal case related to procurement procedures. Since then, Palantir has secured multiple multimillion-dollar contracts, including a predictive maintenance contract worth over $85 million in October 2022. This contract aims to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce downtime for military units, and leverage machine-powered forecasts. #AIResearch #DefenseContract #USArmy #PalantirTechnologies #MachineLearning #Innovation #Future
