Happy Friday! General #jobsearch #tips: - Besides being “open to work”, make sure you select as many jobs titles as possible. Many #recruiters will only search for people open to specific job titles 🧑🏻💻 - If you’ve been out of work for awhile, consider contract and part-time work. Select these under your “open to work” section. I believe in a #gigeconomy and frankly speaking, you can probably make more doing multiple consulting roles than you can anywhere as a FTE 💰 - Check your locations and #remote preferences. If you only want remote, select that option 📍 - After you apply for a job, find a #recruiter in the company. You can message a random one and ask who the recruiter is that is working on the job you are interested in. They will help you and you’re more likely to get eyes on your resume. Better yet, figure out who the hiring manager is‼️ - Who do you know that works at the company? Message them before you apply. No brainer. Job seekers, please keep sharing your stories about job openings that keep being reposted despite showing hundreds or even thousands of applications, especially when you KNOW you are qualified and are not getting any calls. It's mystifying to me. Some advice I have seen from recruiters: 1. Make sure your resume and cover letter reference the job title and specific qualifications and skills that are required exactly 2. Apply through the organization's website rather than 3rd party if possible There's more you can and should be doing. Recruiters, job coaches, what are your thoughts on this recurring phenomenon? I know it's the "holidays" now and people are checking out, but I have seen this happening all year. #jobsearch #jobhunt #jobpostings #hiring #HR #recruiting
