Would you pay $349.99 for privileges for your business on Facebook and Instagram? 🤔 The new Business packages by Meta says a lot about the future of social media. Here's what you get: 👉🏼 Enhanced profile – Including multiple business link options, and visual elements for your links. 👉🏼 Search optimization – Have your profile appear “at or near the top of search results” 👉🏼 Featured account – Have your business shown in dedicated “Meta Verified” business display units on Facebook and IG 👉🏼 Links in Reels 👉🏼 Employee impersonation protection – Which includes verification badges for chosen employees 👉🏼 Customized messaging chats – Dedicated color palettes for your customer chats 👉🏼 Account review – Top tier subscribers will get access to “semi-annual” profile reviews from a Meta expert to enhance your content strategy The implications of this are vast for Meta and the digital marketing space as a whole. If there are about 8 million active advertisers on Meta, and 1% of them convert on the Business Max package, Meta will get $336M in ARR 🚀 I expect to see a lot of the big social affiliates to buy into this since it can increase their revenue manyfold. Up till now, Meta’s Verification for Business option has only been available to businesses in a few large markets, but the option is being expanded to some European countries now. What are your thoughts on this? 🤔 #socialmedia #marketing #meta

It's always fascinating to me when a random "Meta Marketing Pro" calls me talking about "I have been looking through your ad account and I have a few ideas to improve performance". First of all thats a little creepy and weird. You don't know me or my clients' businesses. When you were looking through it, did you happen to see the millions of dollars I've run through your platform the last ten years? The countless, complex media strategies and optimizations that have been executed on Meta by me for the world's major brands? The wrestling with the platform I've done to figure it all out and make it the best it can be for the client's business? The hours long conversations with clients about what we've done to improve performance through optimizing; and what our clients can do for us to make their campaigns better - especially in the area of creative? Where were you when we were begging for a rep's attention while our ad accounts were suspended and ads rejected during critical campaigns? When all we needed you to do is reverse a decision made by a machine? We all know that reps are there primarily to sell the platforms' new features - and that's what they do. "Meta Marketing Pros" don't have any authority to solve actual problems within Meta's products. It makes me wonder how many resource dollars are being wasted at Meta on all of these layers of "pros" and "experts" who, for most of us, are useless? To be fair to Meta, we currently have an awesome consistent rep who has been very helpful this year. But even they are on the Meta Marketing Pro team. It's a far cry from the days when Meta would do agency tours and bend over backwards for any advertiser. When they provided dedicated reps in specific verticals for each one of your client accounts. The recent battle is that we're facing the opposite of that. We're dying out here with an overwhelming decline in personalized platform support and very few answers for our clients other than "this random guy called me and made some weak, ill-informed, platform-serving suggestions". #adsmanager #metamarketingpros

🚨 Exciting Updates from Meta! 🚨 Meta has just announced some new brand safety and ad placement tools that’ll give businesses even more control over their ads on both Facebook and Instagram. 🙌 Here’s what’s new: 👉 Turn Off Comments Before Publishing: Meta is testing a new feature that allows brands to switch off comments on ads before they go live. This can be super handy if you're running sensitive campaigns or want to manage discussions around your promotions. While this might feel like a protective move, it could be essential when you want full control of the conversation. 👉 Ad Placement Control Expansion: Brands can now choose where their ads appear across Instagram and Facebook profiles by using a “publisher block list.” This means you can avoid having your ads show up on profiles that don’t fit with your brand’s vibe. 🌟 👉 Third-Party Block Lists: Meta is partnering with third-party companies like Integral Ad Science to support custom block lists, giving you even more control over where your ads are shown. 👉 Updated Brand Safety and Suitability Center: Meta has enhanced its interface to make it easier for advertisers to manage every aspect of their ad placements. At #NextGenSocials, we’re always keeping an eye on new tools like these to help Aussie businesses manage their digital presence more effectively. These updates are great for ensuring your ads reach the right people, on the right profiles, while giving you more control over your brand’s narrative. 🎯 Want to learn more about how we can help you take full advantage of these tools and get the most out of your social media ads? If you're relying on Facebook and Instagram as key components of your marketing strategy, there's a significant development brewing in the world of Meta. 🔵 Meta Verified 🔵 With Meta Verified, businesses gain access to exclusive features, including enhanced profiles, improved visibility in search, and the ability to add links into reels. These perks hold the promise of expanding your brand's reach and driving more meaningful engagement with your audience. Sounds great doesn’t it? Well.. there’s a catch. This rollout introduces a pay-to-play model for accessing these features, which could pose challenges for businesses, particularly ones with limited budgets. The subscription fees are ranging from $14.99 to $349.99 per month in the US.💰 Moreover, while Meta Verified promises enhanced support from the platform, there's skepticism about whether this will materialise into tangible assistance for businesses. Considering these factors, it's crucial to weigh the potential benefits against the associated costs and uncertainties. As Meta Verified begins its rollout in the USA, businesses should carefully evaluate whether the subscription model aligns with their goals and resources. And as it eventually expands to other regions like the UK, it's essential to stay informed and adapt your strategy accordingly. Navigating the ever-changing landscape of social media requires a strategic approach - one that considers both the opportunities and the challenges posed by developments like Meta Verified. 💬 What are your thoughts on this upcoming change? When Meta Verified makes its way across the pond to the UK, will you be among the first to jump on board? #MetaVerified #SocialMediaStrategy #NavigatingChange #SocialMediaMarketing

How can Meta save millions of dollars? By firing all the Meta marketing pros :) I will be honest, the Meta Marketing Pros before 2022, were actually really good — heck, a lot of what I know of performance marketing has been learnt via their calls and insights. But in recent years, they have quite literally transitioned into a scam. Founders, marketers – take note, because this is how they usually operate. Meta outsources performance marketing help to certain large companies, like Wipro with huge workforces. The primary motive, get brands to spend more money. Initially they will set up a call with you, to help you ‘figure your account out’ – but most likely they focus on vanity metrics like reach and engagement, even when conversion should be the clear priority. This misalignment results in a huge waste of money in misdirected ad spend. Eventually, their free help dries up, and they want you to sign up for their plans, which lacks the nuance and strategic thinking essential for effective marketing. The cookie-cutter methodology fails to address the unique needs of individual businesses. This primarily happens, because these outsourced professionals seem to lack hands-on experience in managing substantial ad budgets + not enough in-depth knowledge about your business. Ultimately, your campaigns fail, and your conversions tank. Meta, you're better than this. Will you course-correct and provide the high-quality support businesses deserve? Or will you continue to squander millions — both yours and your clients' — on subpar outsourced services? Time to do better, please! Did you know💡 Meta has some very interesting metrics that are 'In development'? Here are some nice metrics you may not know already: ⏲️ 3-, 5- and 7-Second Dwells = "The number of times your display ad is completely visible, or covers at least 50% of someone's screen, for at least 3, 5 or 7 seconds. 👁️ Unique Attention Impressions = "The number of people who paid more attention to your ads than they usually do to other posts they see on Facebook." 💬 2-, 3- and 5 Message exchanges = "The number of times a messaging conversation reaches 2, 3 or 5 back and forth exchanges with your business, attributed to your ads." 📲 Returning messaging contacts = "The number of accounts that messaged your business in the time period selected and any prior time period, attributed to your ads. This doesn’t include returning messaging contacts on WhatsApp, or from ads delivered to or from Europe or Japan." 📞 60-second calls = "The number of times calls placed resulted in successful connections lasting at least 60 seconds." --- Metrics labeled as 'In development' can be used by advertisers to get directional guidance, but they are not supposed to be used for making important business decisions. That's because 'In development' means that Meta is still testing the best way to measure this metric. You may or may not already find these metrics in your ad account. When you do see them, be aware that they are still 'In development'. Which metric(s) are you most excited about? --- ♻ Repost if you find this post valuable 🙌 #facebookads #digitalmarketing #digitaladvertising #meta #metaads #instagramads #socialmediamarketing

Is Meta Verified worth the subscription? 🤔 I often get asked if a business account should be verified… and honestly, it differs case by case. ✅ What Is Meta Verified? Meta Verified is a monthly paid subscription to Meta for additional features on your Facebook and Instagram accounts. Features include: - Account monitoring for impersonators. - Live account customer support. - Exclusive stickers on Stories and Reels. What are the benefits? The main benefit to users is the blue verification badge on Facebook and Instagram. Verification on social media has long been a status symbol, and this gives users an easy way to elevate their online presence. Meta Verified originally included increased reach and visibility as a benefit, but removed it right before the US launch. They have since added it back. Increased reach can mean that your posts and comments get suggested to more users on their feeds or that your posts appear on others’ Explore Pages. This is helpful if you are looking to grow your audience or spread a message. Another key benefit is increased confidence when looking at other users on the platforms. If more people submit ID to get their blue verified checkmark, then you know that they are who they say they are and not a catfish. I’d recommend reviewing your business goals and budget to see if these benefits align to your risks and goals. If you’re a B2C business with giveaways and competitions, the Meta verified is a great way to distinguish yourself from scam accounts #Meta #SocialMedia

If You’re a Local Business, Don’t Fall for This Facebook Trap Do you know why most local businesses struggle with Meta Ads? They are complicated. Just take a look at the ads manager. On the first screen you are given 6 different options. This used to be 11 before Meta changed it – who can say when they might change it again. If you think that isn’t too many choices, then I am going to have to burst your bubble. There are easily another 50 choices to make across the 3 levels of a Meta advertising campaign… Of course, they don’t all make or break your ad. Some do virtually nothing, whilst others are crucial to the ad’s performance. That is a lot of variations to test out which is which. They are about as simple as tightrope walking over a ravine of starved crocodiles. Not for the faint hearted. Meta sees a yearly ad revenue north of 100 billion (your eyes are not deceiving you, I meant to type B for Billion). Despite this, lots of businesses simply don’t get involved due to perceived complexities. Now, if you are Meta and can get businesses to spend over 100 billion dollars per year, you are doing something right. There must be some pretty clever individuals at Meta HQ. HQ also noticed the confusion amongst many businesses and their lack of involvement with ads. Their solution? The ‘Boost’. (1/4)

Scale Your E-Commerce or Info Business To $2M+/mo Without Expensive Creative Production 🚀 Predictable Revenue With Facebook Ads, Creatives and Funnel Strategy
🍒 Meta Ads Updates You Must Know 🍒 (The 3rd one will have the biggest impact) 💼 Meta is renaming Meta Business Account to Business Portfolios and will now centralize all the business assets in one place. 📞 You can connect multiple WhatsApp numbers to your Facebook page and use them in ads. 💰 Greater campaign spending flexibility will automatically apply, and you can't deactivate it. Meta has increased budget spending flexibility to 75% from the previous 25%. 🔔 You can now turn off all annoying Email and Facebook notifications in your ad account settings. It is available under notification settings in your ad account. 🎯 Meta is further consolidating or removing detailed targeting options like interest audiences. Most of them are related to sensitive topics like health and wellness. I'm personally frustrated with the removal of sensitive interest audiences. I predict that interest targeting will be gone entirely at some point. Then, we will rely on the algorithm and have less control. But it could also be a good thing. What do you think about these changes?
