Thankful to lead a team that is deeply committed to fostering educational opportunities and closing the achievement gap for youth in our Juvenile Rehabilitation (JR) facilities. Education is a powerful tool that can transform lives, break cycles of incarceration, and provide a pathway to success. Our Regional Education Program Administrators, Adam Haizlip and Kolanye Bykoff, have been spearheading efforts to enhance the educational experience for scholars across Washington state in all of our community facilities. Through listening sessions, focus groups, and surveys, they are actively engaging with youth to understand their unique needs, challenges, and aspirations. We firmly believe that every young person deserves access to quality education, regardless of their circumstances. By investing in their academic and vocational development, we empower them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue promising futures and contribute positively to their communities.
