Just had the great pleasure of attending Harrison.Ai’s International Women’s Day event. So many great takeaways from the panel and a joy to hear from others in the audience about the latest opportunities & challenges in the health/tech/start-up ecosystem. Notwithstanding all the fabulous advancements, today’s ASX top 20 still have nil female Chairs despite nearing equity for board composition. There is much still to be done. Some real thought provoking soundbites from the session: 1. It’s not good enough for individual female successes, we need to redesign the structures that got us here 2. Courage is a muscle 3. Take action; in your small world or team, what can you do to move the needle? 4. Don’t be afraid to shoot the shot…there are plenty of males out there doing that with far less experience and expertise than you & getting away with it 5. Be kind to yourself, have mentors, coaches. Acknowledge that on a rolling LTM basis you’re likely to have 33.3% crap days, 33.3% neutral and the balance awesome where you are your amazing self.

Vice Chair of Strategy, Department of Anesthesiology, UNMC; Founder, Brave Enough and host of the annual Brave Enough Women's CME Conference. I help busy women design their work life to fit their priorities.
💓 Let's have a heart-to-heart. Society sets so many false standards that tell us as women who we should be, what we should want, how we should feel and how we should look. But here's the truth: if we're not rooted in our own authenticity, if we haven't discovered our true selves, then how can we possibly navigate towards thriving in this life? Ladies, it's time to reclaim our narratives. It's time to peel away the layers of societal expectations and embrace the radiant truth of who we are. Because when we know ourselves, truly and deeply, we unlock a profound sense of empowerment. We become architects of our own destinies, painters of our own canvases, and navigators of our own journeys. Let's ask ourselves the tough questions and seek out the authentic answers. Let's celebrate our quirks, our passions, and our unique essence. Let's stand tall in our truth and inspire others to do the same. Remember: your worth is not defined by external validation or societal norms. Embrace your uniqueness, honor your journey, and let your authenticity shine brightly for the world to see. Together, as a community of strong, empowered women, let's rewrite the narrative. Let's redefine success on our own terms. Let's create a world where every woman knows her worth and lives her truth unapologetically. You are enough. You are worthy. You are powerful beyond measure. And you are capable of achieving anything you set your heart and mind to. 💖✨ (If you love this post, you will love the Brave Enough 2024 Women’s CME Conference. Join me! Certified Sex and Life Coach helping midlife women flex their agency with confidence in advocating for their pleasure in dating, relationships and in menopause care.
I know that most of us could get better at establishing and holding our boundaries so that we can have calm in our lives and deeper relationships. My own personal journey in discovering how I needed to set better boundaries is one of the reasons I began coaching and why I wanted to be one of the expert speakers in this upcoming summit. When my friend, Shuntel McRaven, told me she was hosting an interview summit all around the topic of single motherhood, I wanted in! Shuntel's story is one of resilience as she became a widow as a mother of twins! She is passionate about providing other women with tools and knowledge that will guide them through life’s difficult times. And adjusting to a sudden life change such as single motherhood is definitely a challenge that could use resources. I am so thrilled to be one of the Expert Speakers that is interviewed to share tips and advice on how to create and define what a new normal looks like for you and your children. It’s called: Suddenly Single Moms Summit: How suddenly single moms can tap into holistic healing, boost self-confidence and their bank account while navigating the complexities of being newly single. I have a complimentary ticket for you to attend this virtual event. You can register using this link: https://bit.ly/summit-cj Just so you know, you will be able to watch from your home, office or on the go. The event will air March 1st – 21st . Each day will host a different expert to provide valuable resources to those who need them. Even if you aren't a 'suddenly single mom', you will get some helpful tips in this summit. Details on how to access the interviews will be provided once you register. I hope you take advantage of this and let me know what you thought! I talk about why boundaries are important and how we can get better at them.

NADD’s 41st Annual Conference in Tempe, AZ, October 7-9, 2024 will include When the Music Changes, So Does the Dance! There is no doubt that the global health pandemic turned our lives (and workplaces) upside down. As we navigate side effects such as stress, quiet quitting, health challenges, burnout, and staff turnover, we are presented with unique opportunities to elevate excellence and innovation within our IDD/MH communities. This session will explore systemic redesign in a post-pandemic world. We will discuss ideas for tapping into the collective genius using synergistic collaborations. We will explore the “If We Build It, They Will Stay” engagement model and how focusing on factors that make everyone on your team a unique contributor can help to create an engaging work environment that minimizes staff turnover. Change will either happen to you or for you. We will discover how to leverage change in your organization to strengthen your teams and elevate the services you provide by viewing change as an asset rather than a liability. Let us put our dancing shoes and optimize change to better serve our employees and the IDD/MH community. Presented by Lou Radja, EduCongo, Inc. Learn more and register: https://lnkd.in/e7MyDnpV

Innovation Strategist | International Keynote Speaker | Author | Non-Executive Director | Entrepreneur | SingularityU Expert | Futurist | Advisor WAVIA | Advisor 1 Million Women | Advisory Board WStartUpC | Mentor Walks
I spent yesterday afternoon recording a one-hour special, The Road to Recovery, with Chai 。仁材 Chuah 蔡 The time flew by as we discussed the state of global health systems currently trying to work their way out of current predicaments. As a public health expert, Chai has worked with executives and organisations all over the world. We talked about how to get out of our own "stuckness” when it comes to improving systems and processes that we know no longer serve us. We layer and bandaid and layer and bandaid and sometimes lose sight of what we were band-aiding in the first place. Chai will be a keynote speaker at the Unite and Ignite Orchestrating Exponential Innovation program we will be running in Athens, Greece in 2025. David Hukka is my go-to lights, camera, and action operator. Dave has a knack and feel for editing that resonates with me, and he created my showreel (link in comments). I had a past life as a film and television director. Timing in edits is everything. I have to say I am much more comfortable being behind the camera than in front of it. Which means I ticked off the “take yourself out of your comfort zone” this week! For those of you who have been following, the video content I’ve been posting lately was recorded by Dave a few months back. It’s taken me this long to be front-facing enough to post them! To tie all this together, I need to share that a few weeks ago, I asked a client why she wasn’t sharing her message with a wider audience. Her work transforms lives. People need to know about it. How will they find her if she doesn’t put herself out there? Those words struck something in me - you often teach best what you most need to learn. I remembered the videos that hadn’t seen the light of day. It was time to bring them out! And it was time to plan round two. So we recorded content for my book Celebrating Success One Failure at a Time and the course we have developed that goes with it. And we recorded content about the workshops and keynotes I’ve developed in the last few months. Please enjoy the short blooper reel we recorded last time. It's short! I need to bloop more. I LOVE Avatar! #thoughtleadership #innovation #creativity #walkyourtalk

Executive Coach | Trailblazing Women become Confident Communicators | Media, Communication & Confidence Coaching | Ex-ITV | Let’s talk DM me
Great insight, guidance and learning from the #VistageSummit… They really know how to put on these events‼️ Firstly, there were four speakers who all excelled in their talks - well prepared, understood their audience and left us knowing, thinking and feeling more about their subjects: 🌟 Roger Martin-Fagg - a true master specialising in the economy. Never have I been so engaged in graphs, lines and numbers! The economy is turning upwards. Whoever gets in power recognises that SME’s are the engine of growth. 🌟 Anne Petrik - spoke about Vistage UK research findings about future ready leadership highlighting where the current gaps are within SMEs 🌟 Jessie Pavelka gave us practical tools to ensure wellbeing. His Eat, Sweat, Think, Connect was clever and memorable! - His question “what is the biggest challenge within your business that your teams are facing right now?” Got 338 responses. My 👀 zoned straight to the largest word in the bubble “#communication” 🌟 Jamil Qureshi told us to focus on what was good and turn that dial up‼️ His one degree of change, Think, Feel, Act, blame and response along with examples around belief systems were delivered with great humour 🤣 🌟 And the brilliant host Brad Waldron the man who magically and effortlessly pulls everything together from start to end! So good seeing Vistage chairs Laura Gordon Paul Johnson David Harding among others, members and guests. What I really noticed was: 👏👏👏 ✅ how attentive the audience was throughout the event - four quality speakers are better than ten! ✅ the event was well paced and thoughtfully formatted ✅ there was plenty of time to network A great end to my week‼️ Thanks to the amazing Vistage team Beth Lovell Philippa Sargeant (Hough) Karen Butcher - how do you all do it❓❓❓ And you - how was your Friday? We're so pleased to share that last week's inaugural, in-person (!!) East Coast Insight Summit in Washington, D.C., was a success! Nearly 20 executives across provider organizations, health plans, investors, and health services companies joined the big day. Our summits are no-quote, confidential events. It's part of our meeting philosophy; more on that in an upcoming post. But, we can share that, of all the industry issues and ideas we worked through across the day, the topic that drew the liveliest discussion was that of vertical consolidation. A few key takeaways: * It's not easy to get clarity on the strategic objectives that animate today's big healthcare publics. But it's worth delving into, because the biggest corporate players are so huge at this point that they're ‘making their own weather’ in the market. - As healthcare players diversify, you have to step way back to see the picture of how activities are crossing traditional industry sector lines. Check out the blog post for a graphic about how this is happening. - To make sense of what big players are doing, try our 'portfolio, flywheel, platform’ frame. (Again, check out the graphic in the blog post.) Enjoy the writeup--and reach out if you're interested in joining one of our future events! #management #markets #future #healthcare #strategy #verticalintegration #verticalconsolidation https://lnkd.in/gNY6a3d5

We are PUMPED to share the big learnings from Union Healthcare Insight's inaugural member summit in DC last week! We do not do conferences and meetings...at least the way you usually think about them in business. We believe the "aha" value for executives and their teams come when sharp insight and tough messages meet real-talk debate... and fun. ~20 executives and investors joined us for discussion you won't find anywhere else. We talked about the way a handful of companies are "creating their own weather" (cough...a Minnesota-based insurer) and what to do about it if you provide care to their members, compete with or sell to them, and event want to be acquire by them. We made it real by exploring the Change Healthcare hack. Was it unavoidable? What's the next "single point of failure" in healthcare? Are we just victims or is there something managers can do differently? Check out everything we learned below. More importantly, join us for our West Coast event in LA this January! #healthcare #executive #investor #uhg #different #insights #healthcareinnovation
