A new blog post is up! It's called "Choosing the Right Therapist," and it's all about how to identify a good therapeutic match for anyone interested in starting therapy. It draws from published research and practical advice from both a recipient and provider of therapy, but it's written with accessibility in mind. Did you know the therapist-client match is one of the best predictors of therapeutic success? Read here: https://lnkd.in/eY9FbmW2

Helping therapists integrate EMDR and Psychedelic Integration Therapy in their practice — Wounded USMC to Founder & Licensed Therapist — EMDR Certified Therapist & Approved Consultant — MAPS Trained — Supervisor
As therapists, we hold a deep responsibility to ensure that psychedelic therapies are not only effective but ethically sound. With the growing interest in psychedelic-assisted therapies, it’s crucial that we uphold the highest standards of informed consent, client safety, and ethical boundaries. Whether it’s integrating a psychedelic experience or using a harm reduction approach, protecting client well-being should be at the core of our practice. Without a strong ethical foundation, even the most powerful therapeutic tools can become risky for both clients and therapists. If you’re a licensed therapist considering psychedelic harm reduction and integration therapy (PHRI/HRIT), my Ethical Due Diligence Paper will give you the confidence and framework to navigate these therapies ethically and in compliance with state guidelines. 👉 Check the comments for a link to download the paper for free.

Using a bottom up approach is so vital when doing trauma therapy. Clients must feel safe, it is the most critical piece of the foundation of the therapeutic alliance. From there, we can work together to develop a therapeutic relationship, model compassion, empathy, and solid boundaries. Then collaboration with our clients on next steps utilizing evidence based modalities can be done. First, always, is safety.
