If you replied on my job opening post and didn't hear from us, here's why... Quick backstory: I posted this job opening, and quite a few people are replying with "Interested" or "How to apply?" Well... For me personally these kinds of messages are RED FLAGS. 🚩 🚩 🚩 And there are two simple reasons for that: 1/ Can't you just figure out "How to apply?" I mean.. How hard could it be to find a company's job opening on their website, review it and fill out the application form if you like it? Not sure about other companies, but here at Ahrefs we value independence, assertiveness and ability to figure things out. And I'm afraid you're not showing any of that by asking "How to apply." 2/ I don't trust that you're "Interested." The person who is REALLY interested will: - Find the job application and review the details of the role. - Browse our website to learn a little more about the company. - Fill in the application form in a way where we can tell they've done their homework and gave us plenty of relevant information to work with. And for every 5 people who merely left a comment there are 1-2 people who went ahead and actually applied for the role. And guess who's more likely to get the job? 😉

It's HARD. I struggled for a few months in lockdown to film tiktoks on the floor of my flat and the results were so poor I seriously reconsidered whether a career in social media was still for me.
