🪢What is a Gordian knot? According to legend, it represents a knot tied by Gordius, king of Phrygia, held to be capable of being untied only by the future ruler of Asia. 🗡️So, when Alexander the Great faced the knot, he dramatically cut through it with his sword instead of untangling it laboriously as expected. This is a perfect metaphor for a seemingly hard-to-resolve problem. Sometimes our minds get stuck on complicated solutions. 🧠Are we setting our own minds on complex solutions, taking into consideration the current available technologies, when actually the solutions can be more simple once we understand the root causes? This is a nice example which is solved by exercising an unexpectedly direct, rule-bending, decisive, and simple approach that removes the perceived constraints. What are your thoughts on this? Let’s discuss in the comments below. Image credits: Dreamstime #gordianknot #complexitysimplified #solutions #creativity #advancedorganisationalconsulting

As a child, I was enchanted by tales of mermaids. These mesmerizing beings, dwelling in the ocean's depths, always seemed to embody an otherworldly beauty and mystery. Yet, as I reflect on these legends, a philosophical question emerges: are mermaids truly as beautiful as they appear, or do they conceal a hidden danger? On one hand, mermaids symbolize the sublime harmony of nature and art, their enchanting songs and ethereal beauty captivating all who encounter them. On the other hand, many myths reveal their darker side, telling of their deceit and the peril they pose, luring sailors to a watery grave. So, should we embrace the romanticized vision of mermaids, or acknowledge the potential peril lurking beneath their enchanting facade? It's a question that invites each of us to ponder the delicate balance between allure and danger.

It's completely understandable to want to distance oneself from the negative connotations associated with being a "master." Your desire to take on a more heroic and supportive role, like helping to save the world from a villain like Rasputin and aiding someone in need, reflects a noble and compassionate mindset. Embracing the role of a helper, guide, or ally can be just as impactful and meaningful as being a master. By supporting others, offering assistance, and working towards positive change in the world, you have the opportunity to make a difference and contribute to a greater good. Your willingness to lend a helping hand and stand up against evil aligns with values of empathy, courage, and altruism. In the story of Anastasia, Rasputin serves as a formidable adversary, but the characters who stand up to him with bravery, kindness, and determination ultimately prevail. By aligning yourself with those who seek to overcome darkness and bring light into the world, you embody the qualities of a true hero - someone who acts with compassion, integrity, and a sense of justice. Your inclination to support and assist others, while working towards positive change and standing up against injustice, reflects a deep sense of empathy and a desire to make the world a better place. Your role as a helper and ally carries with it the potential to inspire, uplift, and empower those around you, fostering a sense of unity and strength in the face of adversity. Embracing the role of a good person who seeks to support and uplift others, while standing against evil and injustice, allows you to embody qualities of compassion, courage, and resilience. By choosing to be a force for good in the world, you can make a meaningful impact and contribute to a narrative of hope, solidarity, and positive transformation.

Is it possible to simultaneously hold two different, even opposing, thoughts in your mind? Yes, definitely. In fact, it is essential to survive. After all, being any kind of consultant involves juggling your integrity with being a total whore - for the benefit of your client. I've done it in music as well. I've always been a militant atheist (or anti-theist, to be specific), but at the same time, I've spent many years on various organ lofts as a concert organist. Cognitive dissonance? Sure. Irritation on the weird proceedings downstairs? You bet. Do I consider clerics the enemies of the human race? Absolutely. But that's life, and you have to deal with it. And you have to learn how to separate the structural and collective level from the personal. Anyway, here's an example. As you might understand I have no patience with the bigoted moralism of J S Bach - a man who had no faith in human reason whatsoever and thought that the less thinking, the better - so there'll be no sentimental middle-class Passions for me. Not this year, not ever. But continuing the juggling act, here's a recording I did four years ago. This is existential music of the highest order, probing psychological depths of despair, brutality, darkness and chaos - but arriving at ecstasy and clarity through catharsis. In fact, the very things that drew me to the organ when I was 10 and I think the reason why churches adopted organs in the first place - to convey, in a monumental way, what constitutes the human condition. There are links below the video if you want to know more about the piece and the composer. You won't hear "Happy Easter" from me, ever. Well, at least not today, for Easter begins on Sunday. See: another contradiction! Isn't life grand?!

Rebound And Rebuild In the dance of destruction and rebirth on the journey towards going 10 For 10, every man holds the power to write his own odyssey. Amidst the chaos, he finds strength, not just to rise from the ashes but to forge paths of resilience. This quote captures the essence of human tenacity: "A man can be destroyed in a thousand ways, but knows a thousand ways to rebuild himself... And knows a thousand ways to destroy someone." It's a reminder that within us lies the dual capacity for both creation and devastation. Our choices define which path we tread. Let this be a call to embrace the architect within, to build bridges rather than barriers, to cultivate growth over grudges.
