Breakthrough innovation vs. disruptive innovation: what's the difference? Breakthrough innovation is about taking something to the next level from within a company. It opens up new markets and changes the way customers interact with the industry. Disruptive innovation, on the other hand, replaces traditional models with new ones. While the two concepts may overlap, breakthrough innovation is an inherent part of an innovation strategy, while disruption is not. Companies must continuously find new markets and ways to improve interactions with customers and clients. Often, this leads to breakthroughs through close contact with customers and entertaining new ideas. Share your insights in the comments below about this one. #innovation
Very good initiative #Bestpractice to be adopted by the fellow countries in the world as a part of road safety to minimise the accidents
Tron anyone?....am I showing my age?? Oh dear This is pretty cool though
In Scotland, our side lines are corrugated so you can literally feel if you're going over the line (but we dont have them in the middle). However, we use cats eyes in the middle, which can be felt. Fluorescent paint would be good on country roads, but shouldn't be relied upon as we have a lot of overgrown shrubbery. So paying attention to just the lines alone, could cause attention to be drawn away. What we need here is something to help us see lines in winter months during the mornings when the sun is blinding.
Every idea brings different way of thinking to our lives Alexey Navolokin 🙏😊Most probably experts tried this new way of ''glowing roads'' for its persistency and visibility. Moreover, I agree with you, companies must focus finding new ways for new markets and to protect existing markets.Thank you for your kind sharing of this great message.Have a blessed day.🙏😊🕊🐞🍀💎🌺
Breakthrough idea has to make roads a little safer. 💡
That's pretty cool! The glow-in-the-dark roads are a perfect example of breakthrough and disruptive innovation. Think about it: On one hand, they're pushing what's already there—road safety, right?—to a new level. On the other hand, they're showing us we can do things better by blending the best of both worlds.
Disruptive tends to suggest the technology replaces an earlier inferior solution. Automobiles disrupted the horse based infrastructure, including the need for hay. Disruptive fusion powerplants hopefully will replace fission reactor powerplants. Increasing beam density in the reaction chamber will improve the efficiency of beam fusion, which is much simpler in concept than LLNL's inertial confinement, using lasers.
Wow....this wanted to be implemented on a high complex road as well ...especially in India ....and when those ideas infused on stray animals (dogs, cats etc) they might reduce the risk of death....

7moActually, we used to do that in Australia when I was a kid (a long time ago). Our line paint included a fluorescent material that stood out for a long way when lights hit it. We also had a lot of ‘cats eyes’ that reflected light for hindreds of metres, even more. Then, the governments decided to cut costs and used standard road paint. Now, the old idea is being revived. Personally, I think it should never have been cancelled.
