Log file switch (checkpoint incomplete)  The issue is caused due to improper setup of redolog groups being different size and too small in some. We can not proceed until DBWR has completed the writes to disk, so we need to see what DBWR is doing and why is it falling behind. As most of the internet searches would tell you, you could try to add more redolog files or use bigger redologs, but if DBWR consistently falls behind, then even with huge redologs you’d eventually hit this problem. So, better to fix the cause (DBWR writes falling behind) and not the symptom (the log file switch wait event).

The ETag (Entity Tag) header is part of the HTTP protocol, serving as a unique identifier for a specific version of a resource, just like a checksum for a file. It allows servers and browsers to determine whether the version of the content they have is up-to-date. 💡 Why ETag Matters 1. Detecting Mid-Air Collisions: They help in detecting "mid-air collisions" - scenarios where a resource is being edited simultaneously from different locations. By comparing ETags, we can prevent overwriting changes unknowingly. 2. Saving Data & Enhancing Performance: ETags can help revalidate stale responses. Instead of downloading the entire resource again, clients can send the ETag value to the server. If the content hasn't changed (the ETag matches), the server responds with a 304 Not Modified status, indicating that the cached version is still valid. Accellion Data Breach: What Happened & Who Was Impacted? - PurpleSec The Accellion file transfer application (FTA) data breach has impacted over 100 companies, organizations, universities, and government agencies around the world. Threat actors combined multiple zero-day exploits and a new web shell targeting the legacy FTA from Accellion. While Accellion did provide a patch in December 2020, it was not sufficient enough to thwart a second attack in January 2021. A subsequent patch was then released to remediate this vulnerability. The following CVEs have been released in association with the Accellion breach: CVE-2021-27101 – Accellion FTA 9_12_370 and earlier is affected by SQL injection via a crafted Host header in a request to document_root.html. The fixed version is FTA_9_12_380 and later. CVE-2021-27102 – Accellion FTA 9_12_411 and earlier is affected by OS command execution via a local web service call. The fixed version is FTA_9_12_416 and later. CVE-2021-27103 – Accellion FTA 9_12_411 and earlier is affected by SSRF via a crafted POST request to wmProgressstat.html. Verifiable Oblivious Pseudorandom Functions (VOPRF) In our digital world, we give away too many of our secrets, especially where we just have to prove the knowledge of something rather than actually revealing it. In many of the systems we use, we could just prove things in an oblivious way, and where we could pass a secret but in a blinded form. With this, a server does not discover our password and does not discover the identifier that a server holds on us. But can we also provide proof back that the right password has been used? Well, with Verifiable Oblivious Pseudorandom Functions (VOPRF), we can generate a random secret based on a key generated on the server (Alice), and which is based on Bob’s secret. https://lnkd.in/ewgfgydN
