A number of Municipalities are facing significant struggles between managing infrastructure costs and keeping taxes low which the two don't align. Deferring infrastructure replacement and maintenance just creates more costs for someone else down the road resulting in having to cut services. We also look to our province and federal governments to provide financial support - at the end of the day it is all tax payers money. Will we be able to get out of the cycle of struggling to maintain the critical infrastructures services communities need to travel, manage our waste, drink fresh water and provide the other services that our communities are demanding - parks, recreational facilities etc.?
