I am delighted to share the highlights from the International Conference on Sustainable Materials, Environment, and Technologies (SMET) under Climate Change Scenario, that was recently organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. This event brought together the leading experts, researchers, and practitioners to discuss and explore the latest advancements and innovative solutions in Civil Engineering.
Key topics included Innovative Structural Design and Analysis, where experts shared cutting-edge methodologies to enhance the durability and efficiency of the structures. Advancements in Material Science and Technology were showcased, focusing on sustainable materials that can withstand the challenges posed by climate change. Seismic Design and Retrofitting sessions provided insights into designing Earthquake-Resistant Structures and upgrading existing buildings to meet the modern safety standards.
