Kwanzaa Celebration Day 4: Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics) 🌍 Happy Day 4 of Kwanzaa! Today, let's explore Ujamaa, a principle that encourages us to support and uplift our local economies and communities. ♥️Ujamaa is a principle I've come to appreciate deeply. Living in the suburbs, I've been privileged to have easy access to local businesses. In my adulthood, I've committed to utilizing a local business at least once a month, an effort to keep money flowing within my city. 👥From getting a haircut at the local barber school to scheduling sessions with a high school friend who's now a massage therapist, and frequenting the farmers market during seasonal sales, these actions are my way of contributing to and strengthening my community. It's more than just transactions; it’s about building relationships and trust. These moments of support allow me to network and establish a rapport with business owners, showing them they can count on people like me, especially when convenience isn't the primary concern. Remember, you can't drop ship local loyalty! 🤔How do you practice Ujamaa in your life? Share your experiences of supporting local businesses and how it's impacted you and your community. 🎉As we celebrate Kwanzaa, let’s remember the importance of Ujamaa in our daily lives. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s focus on Nia (Purpose)! #Kwanzaa #Ujamaa #SupportLocal #CommunityEconomics #BuildingCommunities #LocalBusinesses (PHOTO IS MY FRIEND GROUP AT THE LOCAL GOTH CLUB!!!)
