Recently, a disturbing incident occurred on Ben Kiwanuka Street where a group of former street children assaulted and robbed an innocent passerby. This tragic event highlights a critical issue: if street children are not rescued and rehabilitated early, they may become a threat to society, turning all of us into a potential victim. At Mtaani Foundation, we believe every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment to grow and thrive. Street children are not born criminals—they are victims of circumstances beyond their control. Without intervention, they are vulnerable to a life of crime and violence. How You Can Help: Donate: Volunteer: Advocate: Together, we can transform lives and build safer communities. No child should be left on the streets. #RescueRehabilitateReintegrate #EveryChildMatters #EndStreetChildDanger #SafeFutures

🚨 Essential Services at Risk 🚨 Sanctuary of Hope is facing a critical challenge. The federal pause on grants and financial assistance disrupts vital programs that provide housing, employment, and basic needs support to resilient youth and families. Many turn to us at their most desperate moments, and this interruption only deepens their struggles. 💔 Additionally, this pause jeopardizes our violence prevention programs—critical to keeping our communities safe and stable. 📢 We need YOUR help to continue serving our community! Here's how you can support: 🔹 Advocate with us—raise awareness and call on policymakers to take action. 🔹 Donate—your contributions will help bridge the gap during this pause. 🔹 Share this post—spread the word, rally support for our mission, and for congress to reverse this decision. Every effort makes a difference in ensuring young people and families get the help they need. Together, we can continue to be a lifeline of hope in their most challenging times. 🙏 #SanctuaryOfHope #SupportOurYouth #CommunitySupport #TakeAction #HopeInAction #HopeStartsHere

Trigger Warning: This post discusses themes of family and domestic violence. If these topics are triggering or distressing for you, it may be best to skip this post. In Australia, an average of 110 people lose their lives to domestic and family violence each year. This staggering statistic reminds us of the urgent need for change. This May, in honour of Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, SPS Facilities is proud to participate in the Darkness to Daylight event. By joining Challenge DV's Darkness to Daylight, we are taking a stand, driving community awareness, supporting intervention efforts, and raising crucial funds to prevent domestic and family violence. Every step we take honours these lives and helps to create change. Support us by donating to our fundraising page: https://lnkd.in/gwgBpZGZ Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to a future without domestic violence. Together, we can turn darkness into daylight. 💜🌞 #DomesticViolenceAwareness #DarknessToDaylight #SPSFacilities #SupportTheCause #MakeADifference #endDFV #DFVPM2024 #ChallengeDV

Do you have a role to play in spreading the message that domestic and family violence (DFV) is not acceptable in our community? May is DFV Prevention Month and we’re looking for 50 businesses to lead by example. (But we need you to sign up now, so we hit our target in May!😂) We need your help, to: • raise community awareness of DFV and its impacts; • promote a clear message that domestic and family violence is not tolerated in our communities; and • raise money for The Haven to house and support over 44 women and 113 children per year. You can make an impact. Sign up now as a fundraiser and we’ll be in contact to discuss what you can do in the month of May to help. Sign up: https://loom.ly/u_ORy38 Alternatively email businessmanager@thehaven.org.au for more information. #dfvpreventionmonth
