However, this comes with risks: potential ecological harm and reduced funding from key sources like DOE grants and tax credits, which could slow growth for early-stage companies. In this environment, a focus on fundamentals is essential. Climate tech leaders who emphasize strong unit economics, reduced subsidy dependence, and clear paths to profitability—just as wind, solar, and EV industries thrived under past administrations—will be best positioned for success. Now is the time for founders and stakeholders to engage with representatives at all levels, advocating for energy independence, affordability, competitiveness, and local community benefits. Yesterday I got the privilege to attend a lecture by professor Tim Lenton at University of Exeter about Positive Tipping Points in the climate change. It was quite inspiring and I wonder how we could actually accelerate the decarbonization through these positive tipping points, leveraging the technology diffusion. Governments should be bold enough to force mandates in this direction, this would be the most effective lever, even if the outcome of #COP29 on this topic was a little bit of disappointing. #sustainability #climatechange #positivetippingpoints #decarbonization
