💡When deciding on a website for your business, should you go with an HTML website or a CMS such as WordPress? HTML: ▪️Gives complete control over the code, allowing 100% customization of layout and appearance. ▪️Ensures lightweight webpages, providing a better user experience and SEO. ▪️Requires coding skills such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for creating and adjusting webpages. CMS (Content Management System): ▪️User-friendly, requiring minimal technical knowledge for editing or updating. ▪️Might result in a heavier and slower website, potentially affecting user experience and SEO. ▪️Can be vulnerable to security issues if not updated frequently. For example, I chose an HTML website because I like to have full control over my design. But if you want an easier way to manage your website a CMS could be a better choice. #WebsiteDesignServices #ResponsiveWebDesign #SmallBusinessOwners #CreativeBusiness #WebDesignDecisions #WebDevelopmentTips

Have you heard someone yell WordPress is too difficult? Or the internal CMS your company built is not design friendly? WordPress or any CMS is easy when you are just editing content. As soon as you start tinkering with aesthetic & layout aspects of the content these tool become a bottleneck. In WordPress land, many recommend page-builders like Elementor but they come up with different challenges alltogether. So how to get beyond just text content? Under the hood any web page that you see in your browser is built using HTML & CSS. These CMS software give you easy to use User Interface and produce the HTML & CSS code of the web page behind the scene. The cool aspect of these content editors is that you can insert your very own HTML, CSS code and apply simple design changes quickly. Having some knowledge about basic HTML tags like <h1>-<h6>, <a>, <p>, <img>, <div> and CSS properties like margin, padding, color goes a long way. These will help you apply basic styling yourself without asking for a technical support and you will feel more in control of the CMS you use. So anyone using WordPress for content management I recommend you learn basic HTML & CSS. It shouldn't take you more than an hour. #wordpress #cms #contentwriting

WordPress is a free, open-source content management system and website-building tool. It’s important to note that WordPress comes in two versions: WordPress.org (which allows you to build a website using any web host of your choice) and WordPress.com (which includes web hosting but has limited customization and monetization options). Our Webflow vs. WordPress comparison focuses on WordPress.org, the self-hosted version. Over 40% of all websites worldwide are built on WordPress, making it the most popular CMS on the internet. VS Webflow is a little different from the typical CMS. It’s a SaaS (software as a service) website builder similar to platforms like Wix. Its visual design tool allows you to fully design a website from scratch with HTML, CSS and JavaScript without writing a single line of code. Unlike WordPress, Webflow is not entirely free (although there is a free plan). However, it does come with everything you need to set up your website, including web hosting.

A static website consists of pre-rendered HTML files that are served directly to users. Unlike dynamic sites, static sites don’t rely on server-side processing or databases. They’re fast, secure, and ideal for simple projects like portfolios, blogs, or landing pages. Code from Scratch: Write pure HTML directly in .html files. Simple, beginner-friendly, and flexible. Ideal for business landing pages, portfolios, or online resumes. Use a Static Site Generator (SSG): SSGs like Jekyll, Hugo, or Eleventy generate static HTML from templates and content. Great for blogs, documentation, and larger sites. Allows you to write content in Markdown or other formats. Website Builders: Platforms like Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress (with static site plugins) simplify site creation. Create Your Content: Write your content in Markdown or plain text. Organize your pages (e.g., homepage, about, blog posts) and create folders. Design and Styling: Use CSS for styling. Keep it minimal and clean. Consider responsive design for mobile devices. Set Up Hosting: Choose a web host (e.g., Netlify, GitHub Pages, Vercel). Upload your HTML files and assets (images, CSS). Domain and DNS: Get a domain name (e.g., mywebsite.com). Configure DNS settings to point to your host. Deploy Your Site: Deploy your static files to your chosen host. Test your site on different devices.
