It's interesting the extent to which we see similar conversations in many countries about the appropriate level of domestic investment, along with hand wringing at domestic investors shifting to a more globally diversified portfolio.
These conversations seem to generally ignore that investors in other countries are doing the exact same thing.

Keith, Chris and Sebastien Betermier's research is referenced about how "Canadian funds invest a disproportionate amount at home when it comes to bonds, property and stocks. But they invest relatively little in domestic infrastructure as the government chooses not to make such assets available to them."
