🌟 Attention Managers & HR Professionals! 📢 Advice Needed! I have a question for professionals who work with recent university graduates. The context: I’m running a Business English Training course for university students (19-21 yrs) at the Escuela de Negocios de la Cámara de Comercio de Sevilla. As part of the course, I’m going to include short sessions on soft-skill development. The question: Based on your experience with recent graduates, which soft skills do they typically require the most assistance in developing? I’m thinking about including training on teamwork, time management, and intrapersonal communication skills. What am I missing? Feel free to comment your thoughts, share your experiences, or drop me a direct message Thank you so much for your insights! #SoftSkills #CareerDevelopment #BusinessEnglishTraining

Multitasking is a skill that is required for every skilled professional to navigate seasons with multiple tasks that are urgent and important. For example, caring for the family, studying, and completing work tasks simultaneously. Work never ends, Learning never ends, Family commitment never ends, and other key aspects of life are important, and sometimes all the tasks at hand qualify as important - you cannot seem to leave one for the other, you have to do all; that is where #multitasking comes in; by considering deadlines; and very urgent and important deadlines per time, you can complete tasks. For a few months now I have been multitasking; 1. Studying International Business, Bachelor of Business Administration, at Nexford University where I have to complete a specific number of assignments monthly. 2. Offering Professional #Graphic Design services to my clients at UPD Group™, the company I founded. I have to meet study and work deadlines. #WElearnMOREtoEARNmore! Some of the courses I have completed at Nexford University are: - The World of Business - International Business and Culture - Business and Culture in China - Introduction to Business Law - Managing Human Resources - Marketing Fundamentals - American Institutions and Culture - Digital Marketing Fundamentals - Fundamentals of Digital Transformation I look forward to my Nexford BBA Graduation! #jeremiaholayioye

Content Marketing Manager at Pearson | Results driven marketeer specialising in content marketing and social media
What trends can you see in your industry/sector? This is one of the questions we were invited to speak about on a panel yesterday with the marketing postgraduate students at University of Kent. No surprise, the first thing that pops into my head is: soft skills, soft skills, soft skills! The Pearson Skills Outlook backs this up, highlighting the demand for human skills. Looking back at my first job interview with TenIntelligence, I had to analyze their marketing plan and pitch new ideas. Can't guarantee my ideas were genius, (that’s for Richard Bell & Neil Miller, CFE نيل ميلر to comment on...) but I believe my soft skills clinched the job—especially for a fresh graduate without a wealth of experience. AI brings healthy competition, pushing us to rethink our strengths and weaknesses. Our human touch, empathy, and unique personalities set us apart. Especially in a world where education is more accessible, what makes you stand out from others also with distinctions? For graduates looking for jobs, let your soft skills and personality shine on your CV and in interviews. Don't forget to show any additional certifications or digital badges on LinkedIn. And for those looking to keep up with trends in your sector, now's the time to reflect on what human skills you can develop further. Institutions, let's create an environment that truly nurtures transferable skills, ensuring students continue to shine even beyond campus life. It's about investing in their long-term success. 🌟 And hey, if you're exploring innovative ways to recognize achievements, digital badges could be a game-changer! #learning #skillsdevelopment #softskills

We tend to limit the perception of our own capabilities and potential by keeping our introductions general and limited to just our program at univeristy, our year etc Just think about, most times when you are at your university or attending events, is your introduction always about which university you go to and your program If yes, then that is something that needs to be changed first Because today is all about how can you stand out and create visibility for yourself and we know that an introduction similar to the 50,000 other students in your univeristy does not do it It makes you no different than others You need to bring your personality, your individuality to the table and it starts by embracing it People want to know more about YOU, who you are? About your culture, your passion, values, your ambitions etc And the reason is that TECHNICALITY can be developed and companies are also realizing how that is not the make or break But personality, values and social skills cannot be developed overnight And so they rather bring so one in who can work in a team and is a great leader even if their technicality may be weak because they know training can solve that but very rarely will you see companies doing the reverse (unless obviously they are pure technical roles) So before you introduce yourself next time, try to get to know the other person, put yourself in the shoes of the other person and then share pieces of yourself in the introduction that you know will matter most to them And that is when you are starting to network EFFECTIVELY #students #internationalstudents #visibility
