Michael Phelps is the most successful and most decorated swimming Olympic Champion Athlete of all time, with winnings and records of a total of 23 gold medals. Arnold Schwarzenegger won the Mr. Universe title 7 times as the greatest bodybuilder of all time and still went ahead to be one of the most top rated movie Hollywood Star, that was not enough, he still went forward to be 2 times governor of California, United States. Michael Jordan is considered one of the greatest basketballers of all time. He was 6 times NBA champion, 5 times NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP), and 14 times NBA All-Star Champion, these are not even all of his records. We can go ahead and add more to the list; Mohammed Ali for the world of boxing, Floyd Mayweather, Heavyweight Boxing Champion, to writing legends, Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Shakespeare, J.K Rowlings, Stephen King, to Tech, Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, to Real Estate of our time. Grant Cardone, Ryan Serhant, Stephen Akintayo, Sujimoto. What makes them great? TOOLS AND HABITS I like to refer to systems as “TOOLS”, and structures as “HABITS”. This reminds me of Og Mandino’s quote, “Form good habits and make them your masters”. The legends we mentioned above, plus the legends you know, were products of their habits. They repeated a particular habit around their craft daily, turned it into a ritual, and it made them masters. All above mentioned persons in their interviews attested to spending an average of 5 hours mastering their craft, daily, repeatedly, and consistently improving themselves. How much do you spend studying, researching, writing & distributing content, making videos, creating ads to promote your craft? It is easier said than done, but remember, if we only do what is easy, life will be hard, if we do what is hard, life will be easy. It is easy to spend all the money you earn, that's why the wisest man who ever lived said, "The unwise spends all that he earns", at another point he said, "strong men retain wealth". For strong men reading this, if you've started investing, good for you, if you haven't, you can take advantage of our Christmas offers. Exciting update: Celebrating Anita Alvarez who is now an Olympic silver medalist alongside her Team USA in the artistic swimming competition. More incredible, the victory marks the first time the United States has medaled in the event since 2004. The idiom "get back on the horse", or in this case, get back in the pool, delivered an exceptional result, reminding us all to keep fighting for our dreams!🏆 At the World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, Anita Alvarez, the two-time Olympian finished her free solo routine, passed out, and sunk to the bottom of the pool. Looking across the pool, her coach, Andrea Fuentes, noticed she was under too long and without hestitation jumped in fully clothed pulling her up to safety. Anita was fully unconscious and had no way to kick to the surface and save herself. And if her coach hadn’t known her as well as she did, she certainly would have drowned. When I saw this story, I asked myself: When you are under too long, who are the people who will pull you to the surface when you lose your strength? Are you surrounding yourself with those who pay attention and put others first? Do you lead by example? And can someone count on you to provide that needed strength when they don’t have it? Jim Rohn’s famous quote “You Are The Average Of The 5 People You Spend The Most Time With”, is not just in your personal life, it is all encompassing. If you’re a leader, hire people who emulate the traits you respect and can do the same for others on the team. Choose an employer that stands for something important to you. We have choices, lead and live by example.

🚀 Unbelievable Endurance and Motivation I just watched Ross Edgley's latest video, and it gave me a huge boost of motivation! British ultra-athlete Ross Edgley set a new world record, swimming 510 km non-stop down the Yukon River. Ice-cold water at 9°C and dangerous rapids couldn’t stop him. It wasn’t just a physical challenge, it was a test of sheer willpower and determination. His achievement is a huge inspiration for anyone aiming to break through their own limits. Edgley shows us that with enough dedication and grit, even the wildest dreams can become reality. 🔥 In both business and sports, motivation is the driving force behind success. Pushing through challenges is what keeps us moving forward. And having the right team by your side is the ultimate win. What keeps you going when the going gets tough? Adapting your standards and expectations can serve as a powerful strategy in alleviating stress. The belief that certain tasks must be executed with unwavering precision or that specific outcomes are non-negotiable can create unnecessary pressure. By embracing adaptability, you open the door to a more flexible mindset. Adjusting your standards, whether it's realizing that not every detail needs meticulous attention or accepting substitutes in certain situations, can lead to a lighter mental load. This shift allows for a more realistic and forgiving approach, reducing guilt and frustration associated with unattainable perfection. Adapting standards becomes a key to navigating life's challenges with greater ease, promoting a mindset that values progress over rigid expectations. #stress #stressrelief #stressedout #stressfree #stressreduction #signsofstress #anxiety #stressreduction #stressandanxiety #stresssymptoms #stresstrigger #confidence #selfconfidencetips #selfconfidence #sports #sportsperformance #selfdevelopment #sportsperformancespecialist #horseriding #golf #athletics #football #skiing #tennis #fearless #motivation

This is Jamie Reid from Taranaki in New Zealand. He is the current World Champion “Speed Golfer”. In Speed Golf, the final score is determined by the number of strokes taken plus the time taken to run round, with no handicaps. We were delighted to host them recently at Cape Kidnappers for an open competition. Jamie went round in 71 (L) playing the white tees at 6500 yards, which is a commendable score. However what makes it even more impressive is the fact it only took him 42 minutes. Jamie is the only golfer to break 100 in the history of speed golf, he did this recently by shooting 68 strokes and running in 31 minutes 🤯. What struck me after talking with the competitors after, was how happy they all seemed. Some played really good golf and some struggled on what is a difficult course. There were golfers of all genders, ages and standards including the reigning New Zealand Amateur Champion and Florida state golfer Zack Swanwick. Most golfers told me that they actually play much better running round than they do playing a normal round, albeit with only 4 or 5 clubs. Jamie talked about being in a much better “state” of mind when he runs compared to normal. His mind is quieter and he is able to stay more present to each shot he’s presented with. One runner told me that his fitness and running split time improved from the stop start nature of the game. He plays golf 3 times a week and he’s showered and on the way to work after 1:15 minutes, the same time it would take to go to the gym. It’s not for everyone obviously, but I think it could be something golf clubs could explore with their membership. Thinking about it myself there are some real benefits to playing speed golf, from a fitness and a mental well-being perspective. The most important thing though is enjoying the experience. Working at one of the most beautiful courses in the world which is a bucket list for many. Golfers regularly (mostly men) come off having just beaten themselves up mentally, they seem to not have not enjoyed the experience. The paradox here is that we would think by adding a speed element to what is regarded to many as the most difficult game, it would make it harder and even more mentally taxing, especially round a course as tough as Cape. Everyone I saw had a smile on their face! I’ve got a half marathon coming up, I wish I had 4 clubs in my hand and was chasing a ball. I’m sure it would be more enjoyable!

Have you ever been successful while focusing on 5 different things at the same time? Probably not. One person can only do so much, which is why setting priorities and goals is crucial for both your personal and professional life. 🗓 The more I focus on one objective at a time, the more success I achieve, and the more satisfied I feel overall. Focus, one step at a time. You could never complete a triathlon if you start boxing, paddling, and skiing at the same time. 🤔 --- "Success demands singleness of purpose." - Vince Lombardi #Focus #Priorities #GoalSetting #SuccessMindset

I always appreciate how my vague obsession with the Summer Olympics (and swimming in particular, as a former competitive swimmer) reminds me of some useful leadership lessons: ☑ Your team's MVP might not be who you expect. Hat tip to Torri Huske and Stephen Nedoroscik, both of whom had the meet of their lives at exactly the right time, and delivered to perfection under pressure. And did anyone think Bobby Finke would be the only US men's individual gold medalist in swimming? When your bench has depth, the next generation of stars is sitting right there. ☑ People who are truly exceptional and confident in their skill set will champion others. See: Leon Marchand commenting that he wished Phelps had gotten to experience the Olympics in his own country, or Ledecky and Huske inviting fellow American medalists up on the gold medal podium for the national anthem. ☑ Ideas are only as good as your attention to executing them well. The opening ceremonies were so clever. But the volume of dead air was a missed opportunity to share culture and clarity on what we were seeing. And as an amateur dancer, I could barely bring myself to watch dancers performing on slick, wet surfaces in high heels. Pretty sure I did more script writing and rain contingency planning for our wedding than the IOC did for Opening Ceremonies. Big ideas require big preparation. ☑ Allow yourself to find inspiration outside your own team. I could watch Leon Marchand swim all day. His technique is gorgeous, his swims are breathtaking, and his attitude on deck is equal parts joyful and appreciative of the village that got him there. What an incredible representative for the sport I love and the Olympic spirit in general. ☑ Greatness revels in others' greatness. There was a moment during the uneven bars competition, where a camera cut to Simone Biles watching the gold and silver medalists' routines, and she was just BEAMING ear to ear. You could see how much she loves the sport and seeing her fellow athletes literally set the bar. And Michael Phelps watching Marchand was the same; watching Phelps watch Marchand was almost as fun as watching Marchand himself. What lessons did you take away? #olympics #leadership #paris24 #swimming #inspiration
