Meridian Worldwide Transportation hosted its first annual American Woodmark – Individual development plan in the South East for the local sales team. The Meridian Garner NC first mile provider hosting was awarded with most improved in Q1. This program was created to coach and partner with the sales team to empower them with the tools and education needed to ramp up their sales In partnering with Meridian and our logistics team, they were better able to understand the process behind a final mile delivery as well as an overview of areas where the product is delivered. Our current project is to review the sales by the cities to determine what areas have opportunity based on the current delivery profiles, strategically allowing them to place selling center to improve service days or market to strengthen sales in surrounding areas. #meridianworldwidetransportation #finalmile #firstmile #Americanwoodmark #projectlogistics #teamwork #collarboration #logistics

Historically a majority of our deal flow in the Midwest is from ‘mom & pop’ operators who sell for any number of reasons: no heir to throne, looming deferred maintenance, lack of interest in operating the communities, misalignment in local/regional direction – the list goes on.
