Why women need to 𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲. Today, I woke up to a beautiful image of three amazing women. Simone Biles, and Jordan Chiles, celebrating Rebeca Andrade's gold medal at the Olympics. 🌟 This image is everything I want to see going forward. Often, as women, we are pushed to compete against each other. But this picture shows a different story. It's about competing, making each other better, and celebrating our successes together. This picture also reminded me of a chat I had earlier this year with Anna Raptis from Amplifica Capital. She created the first venture capital firm in Latin America focused on diverse teams. We talked about our common mission to get more capital into the hands of capable women. Anna said something that stuck with me: "𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘢 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺." This is a mindset shift that I am happy to see is now more and more common. We need more examples of women saying, "Let's collaborate and/or compete gracefully." Let's uplift each other and create economic and social impact together. There's plenty of space for all of us. Seeing these gymnasts celebrate each other captures this spirit perfectly. We need to encourage more women to pursue their dreams and support each other. So, I invite any ambitious woman looking to build from pursue and impact towards society to join our sisterhood at Amela. We are here to uplift each other and create more wins for society.
