How time flies...without realizing it, Oct 2024 is my 1st Year Anniversary. Celebrating my milestone at Allianz Technology Malaysia 🎊🎉 Still remember the feeling of me pushing myself to embrace new challenges ... Stepping out from my comfort zone to take on new challenges brings a mix of emotions. Sense of fear due to the unfamiliar environment, having to work with new and different stakeholders, unfamiliar processes. Sometimes or maybe most of the time 😊 create anxiety or self-doubt in me. At the same time, stepping into new challenges can bring excitement and a rush of adrenaline....this feeling I feel all the time until now...haha. It opens up the possibility for growth, learning, and self-discovery. We've been through ups and downs, tears and sweats...swim the ocean and went through rough sea 🌊 together .... Team work, collaboration and support especially mentally that makes us stronger. “If Goo can do it, so can I” Today we had our AIA Brunei (Branch of AIA Singapore) Final Sprint. And of course as Goo Yin joked “if you don’t remember anything from today just remember this” I have had the pleasure to meet him when we went over to Hong Kong earlier this year; and somehow his humour resonated with me 🤣 This Final Sprint had him fly into #Brunei to do a sharing with all the advisors and he did an amazing job catching everyone’s attention… by paying for it literally! I’ve always enjoyed events like this where the whole company gathers. The biggest takeaway I’ve got for today are 2 things: 1. How important it is for us to be adequately insured. The insurance claim story Goo shared is a powerful, real look at the world when things go wrong. With the right coverage in place, our clients can rest better knowing their families won’t fall into financial strain if anything happens. 2. Commitment spurs action. If you want something, and I mean really, really want something, nothing is going to stop you from achieving it. But if you don’t want it enough, nothing is going to help you start. The story of consistency in moving towards the right direction regardless of being fast or slow is a good reminder of what I felt last year when I was chasing my first #MDRT. All in all, it was a good sprint session. Q2 is done and it went like this: On the personal side, I 🍉 was totally ready to emigrate to a southern country (German spring isn't the greatest) 🫂 visited family and friends in the Philippines again after 6 years 🏄🏽♀️ did a lot of sports and tried new things On the business side, I 😵💫 was stressed because of no jobs 🥳 signed some new customers 🫠 was stressed because of too many jobs 🎉 reached my Q2 revenue goal So, to put it in a nutshell, life in Q2 was kind of a roller coaster, but a much softer ride than in Q1. 🎢 How was yours? #Q2recap #freelancelife #personalgrowth #businessgrowth

Gratitude to our Company ( Cathay Pacific Airways Limited) After about 31 years and 9 months of service,I retired from Cathay Pacific Airways Limited ( India). My primary experience was with International Air Reservations, WhatsApp Chats,Fares,Ticketing,Groups. I am grateful to our Company for the difference that it made to my life and my family's lives as well.Getting a job with our Company did play an important role in me getting married,for sure. What I can admire ( among so many things) is Cathay Pacific's culture: inclusiveness,sensitivity to social causes and to the environment,friendliness,warmth. Absolutely amazing how our Company handled "turbulence" at different periods: SARS,the World Trade Centre bombing,the pandemic,etc.Grateful how our Company,in India ,focused on keeping all staff employed and ensured that we all received our salaries and on time. I do appreciate the peace of mind that I used to get after I returned from work every day,which I do not wish to take for granted. Even the 8-9 hours that I spent,while at work,with my colleagues,superiors was generally a pleasure,which is what makes it even more sad when the time came for me to leave our Company. I would like to work again,if possible ,even if it is in a role not directly connected with Travel.I will be keeping a lookout on LinkedIn as well.
