Helping Experts Be Concise, Relevant, and Jargon-free | 75,000+ People Taught | Multi-Award-Winning Communication Skills Author Instructor & Speaker
“Don’t let a label define who you are.” Today the Tour de France came past my front door. 🚴♀️🚴♂️🚴 The thing is, I don’t live in France. I live in the Netherlands. There is an entire country between here and France!! (It’s Belgium 🇧🇪 just in case you were reaching for a map) What’s great about this, is the Tour de France hasn’t allowed its name to stop it doing something new. It’s adding variety and challenges outside the original scope of the race. How is this relevant for you? Because the same is true for your job title. You don’t need to let your job title define who you are, or what you can or cannot do. Sure, you need to do your actual job. But you don’t have to do only that. You can look for opportunities to add variety and challenges outside your usual responsibilities. When I was a software delivery tester I started to manage small projects. Then when I because a project manager I started to suggest ideas to help deliver on company strategy. And eventually that helped me rise into leadership positions. If I’d stayed doing the work defined by my job title I wouldn’t have developed the skills to progress to those new roles. Just because someone is called a tester doesn’t mean they must only do testing. If you feel stuck in your role, try being a little more like the Tour de France. 🇫🇷 🚴♀️ Expand beyond the borders defined by your title.

March is my birthday month. When I started the year I wrote a list of achievements I want to fulfill as I will be welcoming my 26th chapter in literally 20 day now. The list still has not changed because I believe things can take a turn overnight. ✓Get a permanent job position ✓Rent a house for myself ✓Become financially independent ✓Learn, Grow, and Diversify The list has not changed even as I say; Hello March 👋 Never give up on your dreams even when the timeframe start to feel a little too tight, and your expectations start to feel a little unattainable. Be stubborn, and never change your list! Happy new month! Cheers to achieving our goals. #marketingandcommunications #Jobopportunities #entrylevel #newmonth #digitalmarketing #contentcreation #publicrelations

Beyond A-Mazing - the highs and lows of this job can be difficult to explain and often people (candidates and clients) don't value the role of a professional Consultant enough - to receive the recognition and appreciation is often under-rated in this industry. I couldn't be proud enough, it's often the small things that have the largest impact. We change lives in this game, awesome to be appreciated for it - and in an international market - even greater! Well done Alice Hudson!!! #Merakitalent #changinglives #professionalrecruitmentconsultant
7 months since joining Meraki Alice Hudson has just received the most thoughtful, personalised gift from a candidate she helped relocate from the Middle East to the Netherlands. A reminder that hard work, time, and empathy never go unnoticed. It's heartwarming to see recognition for your efforts. Well done 🎉 💓

Taking Wix websites beyond what we know is possible & marketing your business through Wix and beyond.
What have you learned since you started your position???? We are celebrating everything February at Digital Edge today. We are celebrating our people, our work, our business and all those that engage with Digital Edge. The theme of the day has been 2 pronged. 1. Not settling for second best. it isn't about being 1st, it's about asking how we can be better. 2. Perspective. It is important to know how far we have come so that we can understand how far we can go. An amazing team session where I asked each of the team the question... What has been the biggest lesson you have learned since you started your position here at DE? Here are my teams answers and I LOVE it! - I can learn anything - The power of TEAM - I am more capable than I thought - I can talk to people and be listened to - I didn't think I was as adaptable - I didn't think I would be able to build the size of the systems I am now. - I am only ever a second or decision away from a change. I'm a second away from being anything and doing anything. WOW! Like, WOW! Incredible realisations. I am officially blown away by my teams reaction to this question. There was no huffing and puffing, no uncertainty and everyone answered with real conviction. What have YOU learned since you started YOUR position? GO!!!! Have a great weekend😘
