🎉 We are excited to share highlights from the recent "Enterprising for Tomorrow" Conference, on April 17, 2024 in Romania! 🤝 The result of the collaboration of the ADV Romania Group and over 50 partners, the conference marked a significant step forward in the progress of the social economy sector. 💼 Over 150 European leaders from the social economy, together with representatives from various organisations, gathered to explore vital topics and share opinions. 📌 The conference, organised under Buy Social project, was a unique moment to show how the project is boosting the partnership between the social economy and the market economy. The implementation of these partnerships represent an important way to improve access to the market and financial opportunities, and ensure exchange of practices and approaches. Exciting News from The Experientialists! We’re thrilled (and honestly, a little amused) to announce that our very own Lou Pizante has been invited to join the World Experience Council. Yes, you read that right—Lou will now be sitting alongside the greatest minds shaping the future of the Experience Economy. How did this happen? Well, we assume the universe has a sense of humor, or maybe there was a mix-up with the guest list. Either way, we're here for it! The World Experience Council is home to the people who make the experiences we all love unforgettable—from immersive art to tech that’s a little too smart for its own good. Meanwhile, Lou’s big breakthrough this week was finally figuring out how to stop his phone from autocorrecting his name to “Loud.” We’ll call it a victory. The WXO - World Experience Organization is approaching 1,000 members from across the globe, and it’s one of the most inspiring and supportive communities we’ve ever encountered. If you’re in the world of experiential arts and entertainment—whether you’re starting your career or leading the charge—we can’t recommend joining enough. And we couldn’t be prouder of Lou, even if we’re slightly concerned that he’s already mispronounced "experiential" in his first meeting. Exciting insights from Antonio Novo Guerrero, President of the European Clusters Alliance! At the 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 held in Brussels, organized by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP), we had the privilege of chatting with Antonio Novo about the pivotal role clusters play in uniting industrial efforts for common goals like sustainability and innovation. 🚀 Antonio Novo shed light on how clusters are driving quick and efficient responses to emerging challenges. With around 900 European clusters under the alliance's umbrella, managed by both private and public entities, the connection with the European community is strong and impactful. Our discussion touched on everything from enhancing cluster policies at the European level to fostering collaboration between regions and clusters. The West Midlands has been recognised by the European Commission as a Regional Innovation Valley, highlighting our commitment to innovation and collaboration. This designation confirms that our regional priorities are aligned with EU goals Regional Innovation Valleys foster interregional investment in deep-tech innovation, addressing challenges like: 🌍 Route-to-zero ♻️ Circularity 🏥 Health 🌾 Food security 💻 Digitalisation Our key priorities are health, circularity, and route-to-zero. This recognition opens up opportunities for community-building, matchmaking events, and enhanced access to future funding. With the UK part of Horizon Europe, the West Midlands Combined Authority and Birmingham City Council, along with our Brussels office, will support stakeholders in collaborative research and innovation. 🚩 The European innovation scoreboard 2024 is published! "The European Union's innovation performance as measured by the European Innovation Scoreboard increased by 10% since 2017. Over this period, most EU Member States have increased their innovation performance, although the extent to which they have improved varies strongly. Between 2023 and 2024, the EU's innovation performance improved by 0.5 percentage points. More specifically, innovation performance increased in 15 Member States during this period. However, 11 Member States experienced a decline in innovation performance". 🇪🇺
