The PDG Biotechnology Information Task Force held a virtual meeting over 2 half-days on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 March. On the Monday we discussed progress on an ongoing comparison study of biosequence databases that the group is doing, shared experiences of how to post-process biosequence search data for reporting to clients, and looked at a comparison of how well complex oligonucleotides are indexed in carious databases. On the Tuesday, we had a discussion with representatives from CAS, about how the user experience with their CAS Sequences offering might be improved. Overall, it was an enjoyable and productive meeting. #patentinformation, #biotechnology, #biosequence, #patentsearching
