What a great way to help nourish our community! A team of Alltrna volunteers helped out two fantastic local charities, Cradles to Crayons and Community Servings during our Day of Service. We're proud to support their missions to end clothing insecurity and to provide medically tailored meals to chronically and critically ill individuals. 📸 Check out these snapshots from the day. A few smart updates to outdated laws could unlock funding for critical causes like food security, housing, and the environment—without costing taxpayers a dime. Public support is strong. The results of our annual impact survey are in. We’ve found that, over the last year, there has been a surge in youth food insecurity as a result of the cost of living crisis. The survey also found that: 🍏 The number of charities seeing 18-25 year olds accessing food support has doubled in the last year 🍏 The cost of living crisis is forcing young people to seek support from local charities, which are under pressure 🍏 Almost half (43%) of charities we provide food to would likely have to close down without support from FareShare Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/eiVmJmGQ

On the latest episode, we talk to Mary Rose Gunn - Founder and CEO of The Fore - about why small charities are so valuable and how they can be supported to thrive. https://lnkd.in/e_tqEfqp Including: -Is there too much competition and not enough collaboration in the charity sector? Why is this? -Why is core cost funding so important for small charities and civil society organisations? -Should all small charities be aiming to grow and achieve scale, or is this not always the right goal? How can an organisation know?

One of the projects I have especially enjoyed working on at Vidir (and for other organizations) has been the creation of Values branding and strategy. Finding out what values the company already operates by and then creating memorable structure around those values. Values shouldn’t just be words you sometimes reference in company literature. They should be memorable, actionable, and integrated into all you do.
At Vidir, we believe we are stronger together. We believe that Community Creates Meaning. Being actively involved in our local and global communities is a core value at Vidir. We live this value out by being a welcoming, diverse team that gives back. You will find Vidir staff volunteering around their communities and find Vidir supporting many local and global charities annually. #VidirValues #CommunityCreatesMeaning
