Financial safety word of the day is smishing. Yes, it’s essentially phishing, but instead of reaching you through email or a phone call, these scammers use texts (hence the name, a smash up of SMS and phishing). The texts may ask you for personal financial information, try to convince you to download malware that will infect your phone, or even send money to scammers.
