Embrace the spirit of PE Week as we spotlight EDR's impactful engineering endeavors shaping our communities! The Town of North Castle’s Wastewater Treatment Plant upgrade is a unique, one-of-a-kind project. The Town has set a course to enhance operational efficiency and further reduce existing total nitrogen removal. EDR was retained by the Town to establish a basis of design, complete final design, and environmental services. Upgrades include the addition of several Granular Activated Carbon vessels and a new UV disinfection system in a premanufactured building complete with the treatment systems, electrical and heating and ventilation; increased mechanical sludge thickening capacity; and pump control panel replacements. These improvements, aim to boost nitrogen removal and operational flexibility. The project reduces potable water usage by utilizing effluent water for the sludge thickener. Additionally, new pump control upgrades align with the Plant SCADA system for enhanced real time monitoring and communication. The importance of the rule of cooling towers is obvious to all especially, for process engineers although till to last decay most designers believed that a once-through cooling system was the most effective way for cooling systems for industries near the sea the new dictational environmental rules during the last decay leads the designer to change the previous standards of cooling tower design for instance, change the approach temperature although it may increase the wet cooling towers building up to 20% it is applicable solution for environmental rules following. this simple but effective document gives a good point of view to individuals for cooling tower performance analysis. #coolingtower #powerplant #refinery #petrochemical #processengineering #energyengineering #watersaving #cooling
