Fantastic news! Our thanks to Miracle Theatre and everyone else involved in this significant accomplishment! The BC Wildfire Service describes Structural Protection Units (SPUs) as "... consisting of sprinkler systems specifically designed to defend structures, create a “humidity bubble” (streams of water) around structures that moisten roofs and other surfaces. This application of water can be effective in extinguishing airborne sparks and embers from wildfire. Structure Protection Units are often deployed as a precautionary measure to dampen roofs and areas around structures. They are most effective if used in conjunction with properties that have applied FireSmart standard. In addition to setting up a humidity bubble around the structure, crews can use the hoses and sprinklers to set up a “wet line” to slow or stop an advancing ground fire." #Nevertooearlytoprepare #PrinceGeorgeLawyers

Just your weekly reminder that the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is happening now! This week’s focus is GIVE INSPIRATION. 🎨 GIVE INSPIRATION through the CFC means giving to charities in the arts and humanities cause area. Arts and humanities broaden our experience and enrich our lives. Studying arts and humanities teaches young people to think creatively and critically, preparing them to succeed in a rapidly-changing world. Funding for arts programs often can’t meet the need, but that's wen non-profits can step into the gap, ensuring these enriching programs and services remain vibrant. Here are a few examples of how when you GIVE HAPPY through the CFC, you can GIVE INSPIRATION through charities working in the arts & humanities cause area: -Preserve historic buildings and other sites for future generations to enjoy. -Host after-school music, art, and theater classes. -Sponsor art programs for individuals with developmental, intellectual, or physical disabilities.
