This new study from EdWeek Market Brief keeps repeating one of my biggest pet peeves in the #professionaldevelopment landscape. In a survey on "in person" and "virtual" #pd, they keep using the verb "delivered" to describe a professional development experience. You can't "deliver" development. It isn't a package. It's an ongoing, iterative process. Anybody who is "delivering" #professionallearning to #schools isn't worth the time or money. Teachers "prefer to learn at their own pace" through online professional development, but they also want to "chew on the information with other people who have gone through the same thing" in face-to-face training.
