On Monday show, I noticed one thing which is really forced me to write about UPI. Yes, UPI (Unified Payment Interface) is one of the crucial part of our life, from now imagine your life without UPI, How hard is to make payments online? There is total UPI transactions volume has been crossed over 100 Billion+ & closed to 131 Billion in the financial year of 2023-2024 according to the reports of Business Standard. Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi academic research paper proves that UPI push us to spend more, its easy to spend more money in the form of numbers because we can't feel the real value of money. Due to vice versa effect of overspending leads India to spend more & save less due to rise in the income people often purchase more things than usual without thinking about their future, this will cause huge loss for banks because at current time Indian households saving at their lowest rate of 5.3%, the lowest in around five decades. We already see that our daily unusual spending habits make us poor by the time. keep in the mind to Spend more but within your budget, Save more to invest in you & your future & Try to increase your income scale not expenditure. The Government of India (GOI) has announced the sale (issue/re-issue) of 7.37% GS 2028 for a notified amount of Rs 7,000 crore, 7.18% GS 2033 for a notified amount of Rs 16,000 crore and 7.30% GS 2053 for a notified amount of Rs 10,000 crore. GoI will have the option to retain additional subscription up to ₹2,000 crore against each security mentioned above. The auction will be conducted using uniform price method for 7.37% GS 2028, 7.18% GS 2033 and multiple price method for 7.30% GS 2053. Both competitive and non-competitive bids for the auction should be submitted in electronic format on the Reserve Bank of India Core Banking Solution (E-Kuber) system on February 09, 2024 (Friday). Back when T+15 settlement existed when assets were delivered in physical forms to client after 15 days of transaction day there were numerous brokerage scandals. Brokers promoting stocks to highly inflate their prices and sell their own stocks to clients at a price higher than market later resulting in huge losses for clients, providing false recommendations to clients to earn brokerage, using clients accounts for without authorization to meet sales targets,  buying numerous securities in clients account irrespective of their capabilities to earn brokerage, pledging clients securities for personal benefits resulting later defaults on settlement days, creating fictitious companies and run brokerage business to attract high networks clients  by showing huge profits in on first trade by gaining trust and many more. Investor's Rights were highly exploited during these times. To overcome this Regulating Authority have reduced settelment cycles. India has so far made a journey from T+15 to T+0 now. India being the second country to launch shorter settlement cycle after China. The launch of beta versions of T+O Optional Settlement Cycle for few scripts being MRF,Nestlé, Cipla, Bank of Baroda and so on in last week of March,2024 was a changing step in the finance industry of India.
