Since his inauguration, President Trump has signed dozens of executive orders covering a broad range of issues, including many that impact charitable nonprofits directly or indirectly. Some won’t take effect immediately and will be challenged in court. Check out our analysis of how the executive orders may impact diversity, equity, and inclusion programs; government grants and contracts; civic engagement; immigration; and certain nonprofit subsectors: https://bit.ly/4jslYIM We will be updating this document as more executive orders are announced. #Nonprofits #CommunityImpact
THANK YOU, YOU ABSOLUTE LEGENDS! I AM YELLING ON PURPOSE. Specifically to the unnamed team who hammered out this document, massive appreciation for you. The praise you deserve for pulling together a comprehensive overview of the Trump Administration's EO's that directly impact the sector this quickly must be shouted about. We have so many questions right now, and y'all answered a huge one for all of us. Repurposing a Handmaid's Tale reference (throwback to 2016!) Praise Be to the National Council of Nonprofits for the early guidance.
Thank you so much for putting this together. This will help us have conversations with our coalition partners.
In Richmond, we will share with funders and nonprofit leaders. Thank you for the information.

How and when this particular item will play out is something to watch. That national foundation to which you applied may find itself under scrutiny, which could impede their day-to-day activity. "Requires a report by the Attorney General and agencies to identify up to 9 potential investigations of corporations, large nonprofits or associations, or foundations with assets of $500 million or more or state and local bar and medical associations and higher education institutions with endowments of $1 billion or more."
I am not sure what the big impact of these executive orders will be on the long term, but I do believe that non-profit fundraisers need to be aware of this. I greatly appreciate this summary from National Council of Nonprofits to help guide me through it all and be my own organization’s advocate.
thank you for this!
It's essential to stay on top of these changes to effectively plan for the years ahead. Thanks for sharing!
