🕖 Split Your Day Into Quarters 🕛
Ever had a bad morning?
One of those where nothing goes right?
We’ve all been there.
Ben Meer’s post of splitting your day reminded me of this. By segregating your day into ‘micro sprints’, your day isn’t over if it didn’t start the way you want.
Imagine your day is a sports game.
And every game has four quarters.
Morning, late morning, afternoon, and evening.
If you “lose” one quarter, it’s no big deal.
You still have three more quarters to win!
🤨 Messed up the first quarter?
🧘♀️ Take a deep breath.
🏃♀️ Start fresh in the next one.
🏅 Did awesome in the first half?
🏆 Great! Keep that energy going.
Each quarter is a chance to reset, refocus, and win.
No day is ever lost.
It’s just divided into chances to turn things around.
Next time when things go sideways,
Remember: You’ve got more quarters to make it right.
Keep playing, keep trying, and keep winning.
✍️ What are your thoughts on this different take of splitting your day?
Absolutely! Planning your day ahead gives you so much clarity that it feels like you’ve already tackled half your to-do list, leading to a organised and productive day.
What I love the most is how it lets you fit in everything—whether it’s a workout, dance class, or even a power nap. Once you write these tasks down, you’re way more likely to follow through. And if one part of your day doesn’t go as planned? No big deal. You’ve still got plenty lined up to keep you moving forward instead of getting stuck on what didn’t work out.
Keep in mind, this method is incredibly addictive. Once you see the benefits, there’s no going back to the chaos of an unplanned day.

I like this because, even with bad moments during your day, it doesn't mean it ruins everything. You may still overall, have a good day. It is like a book; focus only on the good chapters / good moments.
This is an interesting way to rethink your workday. I think incorporating “Time Boxing” into this framework might enhance your personal, and professional, productivity.
[Time Boxing is like setting a timer for each task—whether it's answering emails, working out, or attending meetings. You block off specific chunks of time for each task, and when the time's up, you move on. It helps some people stay focused, avoid distractions, and get more done without overthinking or procrastinating.]
