📌 Happy National Nougat Day! Why am I celebrating this day? Well, because it’s such a rich part of my culture. But, also…wait for it… Nougat is typically made by mixing egg whites together and adding honey or sugar, roasted nuts, and sometimes candied fruit. In Italy, they call it torrone. In Spain, a nougat is called turrón. Now, I’ll shamelessly HR tie it all together: Culture is critical, created and modeled by leadership! The buck stops there. Here is the recipe: 🥣 Mix everyone together (focus on making meaningful connections and create opportunities for that to happen – yes, get up and walk and talk to those in your charge, as a priority). 🍯 Add honey AND sugar (focus on taking care of each other; empathy and kindness goes a long way; just do right by your employees whatever that looks like). 🍉 Throw in some nuts and fruits for good measure (focus on supporting and developing your teams; ensure everyone feels heard and given opportunities at all levels).
